On my next order to fastech i will be getting some panasonic batteries (18650) but i,m a bit confused as to which ones.I have a vamo v2, the batteries come with different mah the ones that came with it are 2000mah would it damage the vamo if i got higher mah batteries and does it make a difference to the vaping.
Also i am looking for a charger doesn,t need to be from fastech would be good if it can charge different types of batteries ie AA OR AAA as well one at a fair price.Only needs to charge 2 at a time but can be larger if its a good deal.
thanks John

Hi John,
Simple answer: The mah tells you for how long the battery will supply the stated voltage (in a perfect world). Higher mah will last longer but also take longer to charge.
Divide the mah of the battery by the current draw of the device.
Example: 3.7v 1100mah battery will supply 3.7v at 1ma for 1100 hours or 1100ma for 1 hour. If the atty needed 200 milliamps to function then your battery would last 5.5 hours with the button continuously depressed. If 400ma was required then the battery would last for 2.75 hours.
With the average puff being about 4-6 seconds you can see why big batteries last all day.
A disposable e-cig with 180mah battery only has about 1 hour of usage per charge, about 500-700 puffs.
In reality there are many variables which affect the actual usability of a battery.
If you currently use a 2000mah battery and upgrade to 4000mah you are simply doubling your vaping and possibly charging time. You will not damage your device.

I use a 3400 in my eVic along with an old 2000. It takes a long time to charge...but it goes on for days.
Personally, I don't mix battery types and chargers. I use Li-ion chargers for e-cig batt's and MiMh chargers for AA and AAA.

It's probably a lot simpler than I made it seem, is just one of those things that's hard to put over. Anyway I'm glad to see you're finding your way in the vaping world, it can be daunting.
