May also be an argument that ALL products containing sugar, peanuts, etc should join the list as these can be fatal to diabetics, etc? I won't go on, am just bloody annoyed! Tell me about it - if I get started I won't stop till next Wednesday

Hi Jason. Will the increased postage costs just be for eliquid, nic base etc or will it be across the board and cover things like clearos, batteries, cases and suchlike? It will be a postage increase across the board. Partly offset by the fact that some items may still go with cheaper carriers (such as Royal Mail) and partly subsidised (as we do now). We haven't really got any way of isolating orders containing e-liquid and increasing the postage on those only. We need to do the sums first early next week - I think somewhere around 70% of orders we receive contain e-liquid and the minimum price we are being quoted is double the existing price with RM. We will keep you informed though

So would it be advisable to place small orders for hardware separately from juice?
We could then place less frequent larger orders for juice to offset the delivery charge?

I bet royal mail don't treat it any differently when they put the price up. I was just thinking the very same thing myself!! Andy

Just to clarify a point here. Products containing Sugar and Peanuts are not "fatal to Diabetics". If they were, both Mr & Mrs Dosser would have been dead a long, long time ago! You are as likely to die from a bon bon as a postie is to die from a juice bottle leaking through a jiffy bag. My Sister is a diabetical type and has been told by her vet that if her blood sugar goes past a certain level she can go into a coma and shuffle off! ??

How exactly will RM know what's in the padded envelopes? They don't really need to when it's a business. They know what we sell and our PPI number tells them we've shipped it - even the RM can narrow it down that way By my rough ready reckoning, I think they will lose in the region of £3 million per year in income from e-cig vendors alone. Then you've got the many other vendors and Ebay sellers with the perfumes, aftershaves, mobile phone batteries etc. That's some business plan

let's face it, millions of pound is spent sending item which are toxic or dangerous in some way....
RM will lose millions and then the price of the shares for the privatisation will reflect the drop in income.
Quite frankly, I've lost patience with them anyway. It's got very silly over the last few years. *** 'em.

Then it'll become like everything else. Expensive and unused. The final Tory wet dream. (not that I'm some kind of socialist raver; just don't think giving public stuff away to private concerns to let them make millions and charge us whatever they see fit is kind of logical.)
