Found this little baby very ill in my garden a few years ago, i nursed him back to health for a few weeks, when he was well enough i put him back in the garden, he used to come back every night for ages at dusk for his dish of chicken cat food.

Yes... magicma, Axminster was half way between my home and the coast. Perhaps we even built sandcastles together at the time. I was the skinny one, although I was taking a Charles Atlas course at the time, to impress the girls... didn't work. Small world isn't it? Hope you enjoyed your time down there.

Yes, although Mum had to leave me to go back to London, I had a very happy time there.
I returned there nearly every summer for holidays until I got married. I still have two cousins in the area one in Dorchester. The other one has not long moved from the cottage near Axminster - still in the area though.

My mum took my three children there for holidays over the years. MMa ooops 4 children !!!!

We go on holiday to Weymouth just about every year, and this is the view of Chesil Beach from the top of Portland Heights, it's a view i could sit and gaze at for hours, beautiful
