Evod question

Is it normal for the bottom of the evod to get hot?, I mean really hot

I don't think so Anne, mine did this last week too. I took the atty off, replaced, and it cooled right down. I might be wrong though?

My evods get very hot indeed. Then again, if I take my eVic into the garden and sit sipping iced guava-loop juice in the shade of a billabong tree, my eVic is flashing "too hot" at me without even puffing.

What that tells us, I don't know, but Mr. eVic is on the naughty step and his friend Joyetech 18650 tube is back in the team.

No, I haven't been drinking....I'm just celebrating rewick/coiling some Novas.

thanks siffy, I have just refilled it as it may have been too low on juice, who knows lol.
It is getting red hot to the point where the evod itself is quite hot too, maybe time to change the atty but again who knows because I haven't got a clue

b.t.w. I do worry about the heat off an evod, but I don't tend to puff more than 10 times except first thing in the morning, so I just get on with it.

My Evods get really hot, but I do recoil them to 1.8 ohms, so they will get hotter

I have 24mg nic ecigs and I am too bad on them but have been trying to use the evod more and the juice is 18mg. I just seem to be vaping all day. Could be to do with having the lower nic but don't really want to have higher strength if I can manage.

Yes annie50 all mine get hot at the base, it's because the coil is at the bottom.
Just let it cool a while, I tend to have a couple on the go at the same time & alternate them if chain vaping.

Mine get hot, as I chain vape...lol.... but I have no problems with them. So I wouldn't say it's anything to worry about.

I am waiting on new juices coming this week so until then I will just manage with the one evod and the only juice I have got that I like which is double nut fudge ( a free sample from paradisevape)
I have 4 evods so 3 are ready and waiting and I will alternate them as you suggest, then I can vape away LOL

Thanks Jess, it scared me a little as it does get very hot, but thanks to all the replies, my mind is at rest
