Slow, med or fast - 18650 - Best charge rate?

AW IMR 1600 has max charge rate of 4.5 A. The 2000 mAh AW IMR battery has max charge rate of 2.0 A.

Most commercial chargers are made for all types of Li-Ion including different sizes and protected types which are restricted to roughly 0.7C and also cater to Li-Cobalt (ICR) cells which are the most numerous.

That's why most chargers will max out at 1 amp. 1 Amp is fine for a 18650 AW IMR.

I've got an Xtar SP2 which has settings for 0.5 1.0 & 2.0, it defaults to 0.5 which is where i leave it for everything, it may take a while longer but i'm in no rush.

Given the anecdotal reports, I am a bit suspicious of anything for charging these things having the word "fire" in it's name! LOL 

Trustfire chargers = good
Trustfire batteries = bad

Been using mine for just under a year now on a daily basis with not a seconds worth of trouble, all my batteries come off and read 4.2 (except for 1 which is getting old and always reads 4.1) on my vamo (well, they did before I broke it lol)

I'm now saving up for one of those.

I can tell when my batteries are charged with my current charger as the dogs move away from that end of the room due to the buzzing and heat it gives off, sweet!
