@ashmal - looking forward to your thoughts Roscopecotrain - hijack away! The AGR tank is similar to the Kir Fanis. I have two AGRs. The first one is great. The second one leaks and leaks and leaks and no matter what I bloody well do with it, it still leaks As you may have gathered, I have a bit of a love/hate thing going on with carto tanks EDIT - I wrote most of the above about 10 or 15 minutes ago, was interrupted by a colleague, came back, finished and posted it, only to discover that the thread has moved on a bit since then

I'm assuming it locks the tank together

I think they are ash as they are threaded and the caps are threaded inside so you must screw that in and then push the carto through it.

I think they are ash as they are threaded and the caps are threaded inside so you must screw that in and then push the carto through it. it has the locking tube because the tank is pyrex. The polycarb tank AGR has threads on it and doesn't need locking a locking central tube. You would still need the o-ring to prevent leaks

Try filling very slowly with a very fine needle and tilting the tank on its side

Try filling very slowly with a very fine needle and tilting the tank on its side Thanks, @ashmal, but the AGR doesn't flood from the carto, it leaks from the base where the carto fits. I reckon it's a dodgy o-ring or poor tolerances or both The S 'n' P doesn't leak from the o-rings, but it flooded like billy-o even when I filled it really, really slowly Speaking of o-rings, I found that the ones on the SnP were too small. Tried lubricating them with juice, to no avail. Eventually managed to get a carto in by way of brute force and ignorance, but shaved a bit off the o-rings in the process! So now the o-rings are too small... and the cartos are too loose... but the tank isn't leaking... but they are flooding... Love/hate
