I've found myself going back to smellies My partner said she didn't want to be with me anymore a few weeks back, totally out of the blue and I instantly bought a pack of cigs to cope. The stupid thing is before the ecig I was on 10 a day...now im on 20, with a record 40 smoked last saturday. Bleh...not good. Who else has found themselves resorting back to the dirty analogues? I need to pack it in It just seems to help me cope with the small amounts of anxiety I get now and again when I over think.

Don't worry...you'll be back on the e-cigs when you feel better. Maybe at a high nic/ml ratio but still... I find when my mind is screwed I crave the smellies yet when it's okay it's perfectly happy on the e-cig... Nothing to beat yourself up about...know we are here for you when you need us Blessings

I went back to smellies after 10 months for the exact same reason and then thought no like hell am I going to let them do this to me! Upped the nic level, changed devices and so far it's been almost 6 months since I started vaping again. Second time around I get the odd crappy day but I certainly don't feel like having a cigarette and know I won't have one. Try upping your nic level and treat yourself to a new device for a bit of a change. What have you been using? Chin up - trust me it gets better.

Did you feel like something was missing from vaping? I have felt like this for weeks. Information lead me to articles on Whole Tobacco Alkaloids and the product snus. I have found a different way to vape, that has helped me, but if I still continue to feel depressed and constanly tired I will go down the snus and vape, or WTA ejuice to keep me off the cigs. I feel for you, as I can understand the instant head rush a ciggy gives you, is just what you feel you need in these upsetting circumstances you find yourself in. I hope you are soon over this difficult period (((hug))))

Monachai I started smoking again last year when my husband left after having quit for 9 years, so totally get how you feel. Don't beat yourself up over smoking again. May be get your kit out (go away fiddles ) and give it a clean, check it all over and have vape now and again. Try some higher nic juice and see how you go.

Sorry to hear this, not nice out of the blue like that I used to be a heavy smoker, and when me and my ex split after 13 years, i chain smoked for England. But, i got to admit that now after vaping for over 5 years, there's no chance i'd go back to cigs whatever life chucked at me. Someone i work with, (been vaping a few months) when they're stressed, starts smoking again, she's stopped and started time and time again, we're only human eh?? If cigs are helping you cope right now, then it's really no big deal We all deal with stress/anxiety differently. I'm sure that when you start feeling better in yourself, the ecigs will be well and truly back.

I had to move house a few months back, with all the stress I ended up buying a pack of fags. I smoked one, tasted like crap, but in a nice way..lol. Maybe a few days later I smoked one more. And that was it, the packet with 18 still left in it is sitting somewhere outside my back room door. Won't be doing it again.
But yes, stress as an ex smoker can get to us all. I am glad it was only the 2 in my case though, and only a house move stress....

I gave up smoking during the most stressful and by far the most horrific time of my life. When my mum was diagnosed and subsequently lost the battle with cancer.
My thought where when I first looked into e-cigs is that I would revert to fags when really stressed so I made the decision to quit at the most stressful time of my life. I thought that if Icould get through that without a smoke I'd get through anything. And I did. I was tempted at one point but after a few pulls I put the fag out.
When you feel ready go back to vaping.
That or make a choice. Tell yourself no more smoking. That's it.
Most important thing is not to beat yourself up. Smoking had probably been your go to vice when you were stressed for years. Habits like that ate massively hard to break. And very easy to fall back in to.
Good luck.
