Is this the most hyped liquid in the history of vaping? Possibly. So when LF got some in, I had to try it, just to see what all the fuss was about.

All I knew about Pluid before I bought some was that it's a silly green colour and allegedly tastes of absinthe. I've only ever drunk absinthe once, many years ago, at The Antiquary in St Stephen Street. I was with my friend Griff. And that's all I remember about the evening I certainly don't remember thinking that absinthe had become my favourite drink. Heck, I don't even remember what the absinthe tasted like ???

That's by the by. I bought a bottle of Pluid (20mg) and a bottle of cutter (same flavour, no nic, no colour). Mix 'em together 50/50 for a 10mg juice, which is about right for me.

Oh, before I forget, anybody know what "Pluid" is supposed to mean? I've managed to figure out that it's like "Fluid" with a P instead of an F, and that it sounds pretty stupid, but is there any significance to the name?

So what do we know about Pluid?

Well, it's flourescent green. We don't know what they put in it to make it that colour, but we hope that it isn't poisonous...

It's made in the States by someone who styles himself as "Mad Murdock". We don't know whether his name is really Murdock or whether he is really mad, but we do know that he seems to have a knack for marketing.

We don't know the PG/VG ratio, but judging by the consistency of the liquid, the vapour production and the complete absence of throat hit, I'm guessing that it's 100% VG (or thereabouts).

And we know that it's really difficult to get hold of.

There you go. After I tried it, I looked at Todd's review and he said pretty much the same as I just did, although Todd reckons that it tastes exactly like Ouzo. Given that, by my recollection, Ouzo tastes pretty much like Sambuca, I don't see this as a sign of any substantive disagreement between me and Todd

Some of the stuff on the internet mentions all kinds of subtleties to the flavour. To which I say: yarbles. This stuff is as subtle as a length of 2x4. It tastes of Sambuca. That's the beginning and the end of it.

I quite like Sambuca. To drink but not to vape. If you want to vape Sambuca, this is the stuff for you. If, for whatever reason, you don't want to vape Sambuca, it isn't.

Which leaves me with almost a full bottle of Pluid and almost a full bottle of Cutter. Hmm... Shall I go all entrepreneurial and try to flog it to some poor unsuspecting sap at a vast profit, or shall I give it away in a competition

Almost forgot. I also got some of the orange stuff and the red stuff that's made by Mad Murdock. I'll let you all know what I think of it once I've tried it

Ha brilliant review, i am liking Pluid almost finished my 20ml, but it isn't as good as the all the hype around it i was quite disappointed when i didn't cough or anything from "the amount of flavor" i won't be spending the money on it again as its very expensive for what it is.

Bumping an old thread . . . but I've just had my first taste of Pluid.

It's very green and reasonably pleasant, getting a hint of freshly mown grass in the taste. ???

no!? Perp! wash your mouth out with carbolic soap! ( my spell check on phone tried to insert 'catholic' instead of carbolic) which is almost as bizarre as you tasting freshly mown grass.....

lmfao! mind you, I dilute with 50% plain vg as flavor is to strong for me neat

Great review sleepyduck chuckled all the way through it! Then I remembered I did the same the first time I read it too!



Love Pluid me, it's an occasional treat and shiny's fluid is a decent enough absinthe based vape for me nowadays
