Protank Draw solution found I think.

Hi all,

Been reading up on loads of fixes for this, yet I still see people saying they have a problem.

Well I think I may well have solved it, for those who have a V1 Protank and a V2 Vamo at least, and quite probably for a fair few others I'd guess.

I went nuts and broke out an 'o' ring from a box of them I bought on Amazon.

With the tank already fitted to the Vamo, the o ring is simply slid down the tank until it hits the step where the two diameters differ. I use my finger nail just to snug it right down to bear onto the top surface of the Vamo.

As far as I can work out the air is likely now only drawn though the gaps in the knurling pattern on the tank base, and I have found that limits it to being about as tight as my evod, and very probably a little more tight again. Flavour feels enhanced and, gurgling gone, and just one pop per draw, no great amount of crackling now either. however my hearing is no longer all it could be and yours might well be better! LOL

Welcome, hope you have as much luck with it as I am having.

I found you can sort of tweak it a bit too, just apply gentle pressure to the ring and it sort of adjusts how tight it is in one spot or another.

It seems you can endlessly play with the ring like that and get all sorts of differing effects!

I could indeed, and then I'd know if they work too, but this already does work fine.

I was looking those over and they look very nice and all, I even had one in the basket for a minute or two, but this was just so much easier. To choose paying £2.99 for an unknown item over using something I had already spent £0.02 on is a bit counter intuitive for me too!

A small but wide elastic band wrapped around the air holes works too. Looks bleedin daft mind, but works a treat.

Yes, being an inveterate tinkerer, I saw them sat there and thought, "now they could come in handy, and you can never find one when you want one", and they have been handy over time, and this was just one more lucky time. It was a bit like inventor or tinkerer's shinyitis I guess. 

I'd guess you could prossibly pick them up in smaller amounts all over the place in the DIY sheds too.

I saw your original idea and all i had to hand was a rubber band so tried it last night and it works fine.

I dont think i need to mention this to you hermit, but the one piece of advice i took top heart when i arrived on this forum was "keep absolutely everything! even down to little rubber caps from carts etc etc etc (as a fellow tinkerer its advice im glad i heeded now)

You are so on the money with that; a week or three back, I had ordered some cartos (XL Boges) and somehow I was delivered of some that already had a hole in them. I was a bit bewildered as a newb wondering how to get the juice to not fall out, and then, bingo, the condoms they have when you get them! Just cut a sliver of that off and it's rubber band that goes around it, covering the offending hole, and it had to be the right size as that was where it came from to start with! I love moments like that, more or less live for them truth be told!

I've got the airflow controller from vape escape and used on pro tank viva Nova even the iclear 30 and there absolute magic ordered another two to save changing all the time
