PBusardo using a Dremel - but same method using a junior hacksaw's almost as quick

I don't have a dremel but could always pick up a junior hacksaw,

I'm a bit concerned with cutting the filler material,

As I did with a drill bit, went straight through :/

Have you a Plumber's Merchant or similar Bernard . . . as a Saddle Valve works for punching holes as well.

I was just thinking about the dremel option, could I get a dremel piece to fit on to a drill?

What would be the best size

Theoretically it might - TBH the junior hacksaw from poundland worked fine - just remember to remove the swarf and bits out of the way afterwards.

I tried the Dremel-a-like and the hacksaws about as quick for me - 2 slots if using high VG or on if high PG

the best one i had was probably the original 'Arry Carto Punch' - which was basically a delrin ring sized to fit with a hole in - and a toughened nail that was perfect to fit - and then hit it with a hammer - after that i had 2-3 saddle vale punches which have all broken - so the junior hacksaw wins for me

richo71 digicig went with the junior hacksaw after should be ok till I get a punch

6inch - 150mm with 4 spare blades = £1.64 meh

Just remember to mark where thee want the slots - like the PBusardo vid - and all will be good

Ok, you just have to be careful that you make the outside of the carto smooth as silk where you hack into the carto or else you will damage the o rings on your tank when you push the carto into the tank
