Just got a new mini pro tank and some ry4 juice (which I've never tried before). There is a distinct tcp ish taste at the start of the vape. So, does my tank need some time to settle in, is the juice weird, or is this what ry4 tastes like????

RY4 shouldn't taste like TCP. It's a caramel/vanilla/tobacco taste, although different brands do taste different to each other. Usually a new tank needs a few ml of juice through it to settle down, as does a new head. Stick with it for now and it should improve.

I tried RY4 and didn't like it at all. Horses for courses and all that.

Well I've got 30ml of the stuff to get through, might mix it with something else..... It's been a while since I've vaped a tobacco flavour, maybe I've just forgotten what it tastes like?!

Try some of the RY4 in a 'known' atty?

Don't be in too much of a hurry to mix it with something, might be worth waiting a couple of weeks in case it hasn't steeped properly. Also, I would second OneDay's idea about trying some in an atty that you know works - it might just be the new wick in the Protank tainting the juice. Hold fire, in short! Andy

If you do add anything, a dash of Caramel is what I always used to add to Dekang's RY4 Lal . . . it was a bit ' dry ' for me otherwise. The Perfumer's Apprentice Caramel Original is quite a good one, as it's more of a toasted caramel flavour, rather than a sweet candy.

RY4 is my all-day vape, and if you're using variable voltage, I find higher volts brings out the tobacco elements more, lower volts shows the sweetness more... not tried the dekang but well worth trying it at different volts on a known good atty to get the feel for the taste
