Has anyone tried building a cotton cloud on an rba? If so, do you have any tips or tricks to share?

I just wrap my micro coils around a drill bit and feed whatever wick i am using through.
Biggest advice... don't do it when a little sleepy, i test fired a coil on an IGO-L and my tired brain told me it would be ok to adjust the coil with my finger, now these coils REALLY hold the heat, they proceed to vapourise juice after you've released the button for a few seconds and proceeded to burn 13 perfect tiny lines on the end of my finger and killed all the little nerve ending's in that patch, so at present i cannot feel anything in that bit of my finger

Not tried it, don't know if it would be entirely possible? ribbon wire is a bitch at the best of times, let alone trying to make a tight coil

Tips i would suggest for using cotton 1 - use non treated/organic as many contain chemicals for treating. 2 - dont use too much. remember you still need a path from air supply to coil then passage to mouthpiece 3 - DO NOT DRY BURN. please see pBusardos video on microcoils if you want a demonstration if not looking for demonstration, flaming mesh will oxidise, flaming silica will burn any excess oils, flaming cotton wool will create a fireball. Tips for coiling 1 - use a decent size drill bit/similar implement to start with 2 - use at least .28 if doing more than 5 wraps and looking for 1.2-2 ohms 3 - use the pinch method once flamed on the drill bit hopefully this helps someone

I have used ordinary Boots cosmetic cotton wool for all my atties and have never had a problem with taste or efficiency.

Just been mentioned in threads on other forums.

It can be done with ribbon wire but it's slightly different method. It's called a tin man coil. Look I think on grim greens youtube channel

i just use sainsbury's basics cotton wool roll. Works well for me and I have enough for more than a lifetimes worth of vaping for only £1.39 ish. Saw a riptrippers vid for tin man coils - looks interesting and vapemesh just got .8 ribbon in too
