Sainsbury's value cotton roll. About £1.50 for more than all of us put together can use in a lifetime, so far after almost 2 years on cotton I seem to have made a little dent in it.
Flavour is more about your atty, mod, coil, density of wick in the coil, juice flow to the coil, juice flavour percentage, pg/vg mix, airflow, battery capacity and how drained it is, how hard you draw, if the juice is already warm or not, age of coil, if it is already gunked up from use.
After some years going from silica to bamboo then regular cheapo cotton, I'm pretty sure that some new trendy mentioned wick material is no better than any before it. Cotton is cotton. A new build will always taste better than what you are replacing. I'd like to see someone make an exact comparison build on two identical atties with the same juice on the same mods etc and be able to tell the difference.
Sorry this is very negative, but perhaps it's just best to get to a comfortable place for yourself than try to strive for something that some 'high profile' guys think is better. Forge your own way.

Thanks guys. I didn't want to just buy some without recommendations as it's not always possible to tell how squishy they are from the picture/description. I've got plenty of choices now though, thanks Just noticed you are just down the road from me - i can give you a few bottles if you like (about 5) - they will see you through for a while

I used to use scales and found a difference in the weight/volume for pg and vg - 10g scales that went to .001g But in reality the difference is almost nothing for small amounts. Now I just use a syringe, quick and dirty. 6ml flavour, 14ml pg, 10ml 72 pg nic = 30ml @ 24mg. I only mix 30ml at a time as i like it fresh

I use HMA pro - it costs but has about 50,000 servers all over the world, it's easy to use and sends all data from your computer via the vpn. And you can use the same account on your phone - even on mobile data. www.hidemyass.comThe tor browser also allows access to restricted sites without a vpn, but it's slow. I don't see much of a slowdown on any of my data connections with it. edit - [with hma]

I've never had a problem flying anywhere with 4 18650 in plastic boxes in my hand luggage. Juice goes in the plastic baggy like any makeup etc would. I also keep 50cm wire and cotton in my bag - never had any questions about that (must have done 50 flights in the last 3 years). I tend to stick a fresh bottle of juice in my suitcase (in 3 sealed ziplock bags - i have had leaks before) just incase there is a problem with my bottle in my hand luggage (i mix my own, so no markings). I put my nitecore charger in my suitcase. I also put my mod into the tray at security while showing it to the guy and saying 'e-cig'. Sometimes the person at the x-ray monitor flags the mod up, i'll offer to prove what it is by taking a puff - they are more used to them now than they were 3 years ago. As mrdj said, tanks will leak - one big reason why I drip now. Also, vaping is getting more and more restricted in the states - I use 100% pg these days and have been able to vape everywhere i pleased: be considerate, subtle, don't exhale any vapor

Its fairly obvious you are signing up for a free trial of amazon prime. You must have missed it somehow. I did buy prime - and for me, as a regular user of amazon, it's great for free one day delivery (on eligible things). I haven't used any of the other things you get though.

Good idea on the unflavoured juice, for people not so hot on working out the numbers (like me) try www.dot1ml.com - you can save your recipes on it too

I got as far as installing from the online zip file, and navi-x doesn't show up. Only repository.xxxxxxxx.zips Atv2, jailbroken edit: to install it, I went to programmes - config wizard - addon installer - program addons, it is in there Now I just need to be able to sign up for it...... the website seems to keep timing out. Thank you for the tip

I was quite amazed at what they were doing, and I know nothing about dogs. Only caught the first episode though. Pepperty may I suggest trying out some ear plugs if you are really in need of getting sleep without being bothered by noise. I work odd hours and spend a lot of time in hotels - ear plugs for sleeping are essential to me and transformed my life (I also use expensive silicone moulded flat response musicians ones for work - very different beasts). I got a selection pack from somewhere that allowed me to find the most comfy ones (everyones ears are different). Then I buy them by the box of 200 pairs now that lasts me over a year for about £30 or so. These guys link do decent selection packs, best to get the biggest selection that has 5 or 10 of each pair so you can really test them out. Also you need to insert them properly - twist and squish them and poke them in while pulling on the flappy part of the ear, then allow them to expand in your ear canal - it takes a knack, but worth it

I think the biggest obstacle is getting him onto vaping in the first place.
Last time I was in Manila, 2 and a half years ago, there were plenty of places to buy cheep juice over the counter. Lots of places in the older malls to buy kit. I know some of the older Malls have been knocked down now, but I'm sure there are still plenty of places out there for him to get kit from. I'm sure things have changed significantly since I was there.
The best thing is to get him to a vaping shop and set him up with some kit that is locally recognised. There is no point trying to get him to use things that over complicate what's going on, if he can build a relationship with his shop, they will make sure he is sorted.
There isn't really any complication with mech's and drippers - it's the simplest setup you can have. I last coiled my atomic 4 months ago and change the cotton wick once per month if not less. It's the only atty I use day in and out. If he gets it all from a shop there, he will be able to go in and get them to re coil his atty for next to nothing.
And as BrenD suggested, 24mg would be better for him to start with - but then what he settles on depends on how he ends up vaping - if he gets into blowing clouds constantly, 12 or 6 will be better.

Another couple of easy fixes Make sure you have enough spare hard drive space (at least 10% preferably more) Repair your preferences (In disk Utility) Keep your desktop clear of loads of files (some say this is a myth but it worked for me) Avoid having too much stuff in your start up items Use the Activity Monitor to see if anything is stealing RAM Also clear your caches on the browser There was a utility that helped you clear caches etc, it is free but I can't remember its name - I used to use cocktail but that is now $20 I think - you may be able get a demo. Like my mac it is getting a bit old and you have to look after it! Repair preferences isn't quite right. Go to applications - utilities - disk utility, select your hdd, then Verify Disk, Repair disk (will very likely be needed). Then Verify Disk Permissions, Repair Disk Permissions. You might need to run through it a couple of times. You don't need additional s/w to remove caches, simply do a little searching online. Adding another piece of software to do something 'automatically' can be dangerous as it could remove things you need, plus if it stays running to periodically clean up - you are adding yet another process to bog the machine down. Running Linux on a virtual box is a very inefficient way of doing things, it'll likely just be even worse than Mavericks. You still have all the stuff that is normally running then adding the virtual machine software plus the linux OS. As others have said, make sure you have enough RAM - click the apple top left of the screen, then about this mac. You'll get the model of the machine and how much ram there is. Go to Crucial and select your model. It's cheap and easy to max out the ram and will give you results. If I remember correctly, you remove a little panel at the bottom and the ram is right there. Changing out your old HDD for a new SSD will give you a huge perceived performance boost, as will completely starting a fresh install of your OS But getting to the HDD means taking the thing apart. It is a fallacy that OSX doesn't suffer loss of performance over time, it's not as bad as windows, but it still happens. If you go the SSD and reinstall route, do you REALLY need Mavericks? Newer OSX will rune worse on an older machine, can you get away with going back to Lion or even Snow Leopard? Chrome Browser is good, and as far as I've read, Firefox is back up to pretty much the same speed - but the damage has been done to it's reputation now. Obviously using an older OS won't give you the latest version of Safari, but no need to worry if you use another browser.
