In the wake of the liability claims thread I thought it would be a good idea to start a separate thread for any common questions over safety people may have or some ideas from you the public would want to know and could be put down on paper as to hand out when you make your purchase from a vendor. You can also add any safety rules that you think may apply like for instance "do not leave batteries unattended whilst on charge" I think all vendors will want to make your vaping experience as safe as it possibly can be by following some basic guidelines.

You did make me smile when you said 'don't leave charging batteries unattended'. Do they need baby sitting? . So we must sit for 8 hours + whilst they charge! You have to smile

Don't leave mods on the front windscreen or in full sunlight cos the heat from the sun may cause the batteries to explode (I think this should probably be attributed to HiFi). Don't leave desirable mods on the front windscreen cos a jealous vaper may liberate them (that's attributed to me). Use Passthrus via USB hub or risk frying your motherboard (attribute to Chrissie). This thread is a very good idea Camper. I've learned more about battery and charging safety and dangers from vaping forums than I ever heard before in my life.

Mark, As well as adding instructions i would also add disclaimers. If you intend to sell battery mods then sell it as just that because it can do no harm on its own without batteries and atomisers. State that the buyer accepts all responsibility for choosing their own battery and atomiser. If the mod has a problem part then it should be fixed/returned/refunded. The batteries and atties sold in the same way. If the battery has a problem then its not the mod or the atomiser its a battery problem and maybe the user miss used the battery or likewise the atomiser. I would make each item have its own disclaimer. Not easy when selling a complete kit but maybe thats why alot of the mods (sb/omega etc) are sold seperately. You can sell the mod because it looks pretty and shiny but you don't have to tell the vaper they have to add batteries ...thats up to them ....lol
