Hi Pulse, they've all pointed you in the right direction. Ask away about any specific kit, and you'll be in good hands here.

Hi pulse, as a newcomer I'm afraid you are just going to have to try a few things till you find what suits YOU, but we won't point you in the direction of rubbish kit, so get that card working lol

Thank you Chrissie for the advice! I think I will settle for the EVOD 1300 E-Cig kit though! I will order shortly:) thanks to everyone else for all the advice too I notice that I need to buy the e-liquid with this kit. Is there anywhere that people can recommend that I get the e-liquid from? I'm not interested yet in flavours etc but would rather start off with tobacco.

Just google what ever type tobacco flavour you are used to & then if you find something check the vendors board on here to make sure vendor is reputable & also for discounts, a lot say RY4 is good but i didn't like it, its all about trying juices yourself as whats nice to one person may be rank to another. Someone asked on here on Sunday about a good tobacco flavour & got quite a few answers so try to find that as a starter, also you need to make sure you get the right strength, i was smoking approx 15 Regal King Size daily & i'm using 18mg, ask on here what strength you need & what amount of analogues you were smoking. What was the brand you have you been smoking

Am I right in saying that the tobacco flavour will be the closest in replicating a cigarette? I was smoking Mayfair King Size so anything similar to that!

Nothing is going to taste exactly like a cigarette but if you get something near to it at the right strength you will get through ok, i'm nearly sure someone mentioned LTecigs do a mayfair type liquid & i've always found their stuff pretty good, have a look for that thread i mentioned on Sunday because thats where i saw it

I checked that thread Chrissie and from what I've read the Royal seems to be the best replica of Mayfair. Is there any particular vendor that stocks it?

Hi pulse, and welcome to the forum! Glad you are taking the right steps down the path towards being an ex-tobacco smoker! A few tips that I have picked up over the last 11 months :- 1) Don't every throw anything away - you might be able to make use of it later. Rebuildable clearos can be recoiled for a few pence, saving at least £2 each time - it all mounts up! Juice that you don't like may become your favourite in time - your taste buds will change after giving up the tobacco. 2) Be prepared to spend a little bit of cash to ensure you stay off the fags - this might be invested in gear, juice, or batteries. Compared with the amount you are currently spending on stinkies, you will soon be in credit. 3) Ask!! There is a wealth of experience and knowledge here on the forum, and we can answer any question you throw at us. Please don't be afraid to ask a question, we have all been in your position at one time or another. 4) Spares - this is really important. Make sure you have spare juice, batteries, chargers, and atomisers. You can't just pop down to the local corner shop when you run out, so think ahead and have some spares in stock at all times. 5) Don't be afraid about vaping in public - most people are curious rather than sceptical, and as more and more people vape, you would be surprised how most folk simply ignore you now. Even using my big Vamo mod with a shiny tank on top, I can vape openly in public and am ignored most of the time. 6) Enjoy your new-found freedom - your clothes and skin won't smell, neither will your house, car, or anything else. You will be free of any coughs, blocked up nose, dulled taste-buds, and lack of smell. People will remark on how well you are looking; there are huge benefits to be had with your skin and general appearance quite quickly. You will feel better physically, and will be able to exercise more effectively. You will save quite a lot of money provided you aren't tempted to spend your savings on more vaping gear (it can be done, believe me!). To help the conversion, persuade yourself that you aren't giving up smoking, just adopting a more efficient and cleaner delivery system for your nicotine, which is safer both for you and those around you, and remember that nicotine by itself is about as dangerous as caffeine: it's all the other ingredients in tobacco that are the dangerous bits! Best of luck, and do keep us posted on your progress - we are nosey more than willing to advise and help you through the first few weeks until you realise that this is a much better way to receive your nicotine. Andy

Thank you Andy for the advice! In my mind I think that if someone presented you with a way to get your nicotine fix without all the detrimental effects cigarettes bring, then you would snap that opportunity up in an instant. In my head, this is the E-cig. So I'm willing to try it out, I have noticed more people have stated that it has worked in helping them quit as opposed to more people saying it hasn't worked which is encouraging.
I'm still stumped as to what flavour liquid to get! I have ordered the Evod 1300 which will hopefully be coming either tomorrow or Friday!
