Yesterday morning my spinner flashed to tell me it needed charging, i put it on charge approx 10am left it charging until i had to go out shopping approx 11-30, got back home at 12-45 & put spinner back on charge, checked it regularly to see if it was fully charged. At 3-30pm i thought it should have charged by now, green light on wall charger, battery led still on, usb charger still red light, ii took it all apart, cleaned all inner threads etc & outer threads with alcohol wipes & cotton buds, put it back together, still red light on usb charger. Next i tried a new usb cable, left that 30 mins, still red light on usb cable, then tried a new wall plug, left half hour, still red light on usb cable. I decided to leave it for a while until after tea hoping it would then be ok, 6-30pm checked it, still red light on usb charger! I dare not leave it any longer & tried it with a clearo fixed to it & it seems to work ok so the centrepin has not been accidentlly pushed down but i don't know how much charge it has in it, the spinner is only 2 weeks old, has had no rough handling or anything, has all points etc cleaned regularly, and as you can see above usb & wall plug changed separately. Has anyone had this before??

I just don't think it had enough time to fully charge. The battery was flashing so it was drained and I'm assuming it's 1100 or 1300 mAh.
A 1300 twist usually takes 4-5 hours to fully charge from flashing. What's the output mah number on your charger?

Ignore the charger, what's the light on the spinner doing? I've got a couple of spinners and the light on the battery should go out when it's charged, they do seem to make the light on the charger flicker

Bluefish the battery light was on all the time up to when i last checked it at 6-30pm & it was out then, i just found it strange for 2 usb & 2 wall chargers doing the same.
Ramshanker the total charging time was 7-8 hours & its not taken more than 3 hours before, i'm including pics of chargers but 2nd wall plug was from my iphone & you can hardly see writing so i didn't bother with pic of that.

so no problem, everything is working exactly as it should, it takes a fair while to charge from fully empty. Not all wall chargers go from red to green, the red led is just an indication that there is power there, and not of what it is doing, ie charging or not.

Bluefish the wall charger went to green more or less straight away & usually the light on the usb is red & every so often pulses green, then when fully charged the light on usb cable goes to solid green, it just didn't yesterday it stayed constant red with both usb chargers that i tried. Hopefully it will be ok next time & thanks for your replies.

Nothing seems wrong with your chargers... other than my wall plug been made by HTC (it's a phone charger) and my ego charger is Joyetech branded... both of the inputs and outputs are identical.
I was reading somewhere else that you should charge it with the twist dial set on 4.8v but I can't see that making any difference.

ChillerVapes this is the plug from the other way around, its not a phone charger the plug is the one i got with my first ecig (V2 brand) i asked on here when i joined in may & was advised to get a riva kit if i needed another wall plug & was told that the one i already had would be ok, or an iphone, ipad or kindle plug would suffice. The one in this pic has been the only one i have used on my riva's since may & every other day for my spinner in the last two weeks. I have checked back on old posts earlier today (before i posted this thread) to see if the same has happened to anyone with a spinner & while i was looking came across a post that said about turning it to full voltage to charge but Sadie from Ukecig cabin emailed Joytech & they said there was no need to do this. Anyway Thanks for taking time to reply. Readey04 cheers for your reply, i've never really kept an eye on any of my pv's i charge them in the kitchen & just check them every so often, my spinner must have charged right after all because its still going strong 26 hours later, i will watch it more closely tomorrow when it needs charging again, i have ordered an ego twist so once that arrives i won't be as dependent on my spinner.

Glad it seems to be ok now dinamic22. I am like you I don't keep an eye on mine as just leave it in the kitchen. I think mine takes about 3 hours but I charge mine daily even if I don't need to, just a routine I suppose and it suits me.
