Looking on the Members Map, it is interesting to note that in those areas where the Midge Problem is the greatest, there are no Vaping Members.
Do Cigarettes and the anti-Midge smog they produce actually better for the inhabitants there than the non toxic vapour from the E-cig?
Perhaps now is the time for our Vendors to produce an Anti-Midge Flavour for this untapped territory of ready made customers!!!

That might work briefly, but I can't see many of the customers coming back after their trips to casualty!

I worked on the Isle of Mull Lobey and the midges there were like rabid pack animals. No amount of cigarette smoked stopped the early evening attacks from the little buggers.

I still have no problems with them but my non smoking/vaping Hubby constantly tells me to blow my vapour his way to get rid of the little blighters.

Sorry to bring up an older post but why start a new one. I am on my 3rd full day smoke free and went to bed last night with a niggling feeling. 2 of my hobbies are Fishing and Metal detecting and sometimes a smoke is the only way to clear the air for a few seconds. So I was wondering about vapor from these devices. I am being plagued with wasps in my office if i leave the window open i have at least 2 buzzing on the window. When I still only had an NJOY on Tuesday I blasted a puff at said wasp and it seemed to respond pretty much to how ciggy smoke would (ie it went a bit mental) I ain't that cruel normally, honest, not even to wasps usually but they are doin ma head in.
Funnily enough, both cats and my dog don't seem to give a monkeys about the e-cig or it's vapor (I fully expected my dog to think it was attacking me)
So any updates on this topic.
This is my first post outside my welcome thread. I am feeling good, 52 hours smoke free.

toby....pardon any injustice to wasps and all things flying but I have found a really good wasp/fly killer
Cheap hair spray.....
Midges....Skye ones still attacked me like I was some gourmet dinner on the isle of Skye 3 years ago and I was vaping then
Fruit flies (had those as well)....home made fruit fly traps (google it - can't recall what's in them) and bleach down plug hole......(regularly and lots of it). Perils of having a bucket for food waste from the council in the kitchen - fruit flies think it's the end of ramadan LOL

We are booked in for a holiday in Arisaig next month and so tomorrow I'm off to buy Midge Nets just to be on the safe side. Well done ruffdog on your beginnings to Vaping. I am, at the moment, recharging my 3 Ego batteries that I bought at the beginning of my vaping journey 20 months ago. Great bit of kit and they keep going for ages. With 3 or 4 Clearos to use with them, you can have a wide choice of different flavours to keep you interested and your taste buds jangling. The best anti-midge repellent is Bog Myrtle so if anyone comes across some Bog Myrtle E-juice, please let me know.

I react badly to Midge bites, but that is down to the Histamine in my blood and so, as soon as I get bitten, a couple of Piriton pills soon sorts them out. I got bitten yesterday for the first time this year. I was destroying their homes. Mowed the lawn!!! George Hendry's book, "Midges in Scotland" is an excellent read for anyone who suffers from the dreaded Midge. It won't stop you getting bitten but it will help you to avoid the worst areas and times of day. It will also show you which type are best avoided, although you will need a microscope to tell you which type is which!
