Access to the vendors tent should be fine there'll be plenty of people to help. I'm not sure about toilet facilities though but it is a Most House so they should have facilities for the less mobile Sent from my Nexus 4 using proboards Thanks Des, Yes, in most public places today it is a requirement by law to provide disabled access/ toilets. Which for me, is a hell of a relief in both senses of the word!! I have only been like this for a couple of years. Life must have been hell going out anywhere years ago for wheelchairs users. I don't think I would have ever gone out in fact!

lovey and Blownupdolly I went there last year and I know for certain that they did not have disabled toilets then. I'm reasonably sure that there are not any steps to them but if I remember correctly the entrance to them is down quite a narrow corridor which I suspect you may not be able to get your wheelchair down. In all fairness I expect that the reason nobody has answered is probably because unless someone is disabled or (as in my case) is with someone who is then they will probably not have even noticed at all if there were any steps etc.

Looks like I will need my crutches after all, for the toilets! I do hope lovey has the means to get to them ok. Would be such a shame. You would think somewhere like a Moat House would have them!

Just seen this thread, not sure about disabled toilets, corridor is narrowish but I recon you can get a wheelchair down it, in fact i'll bet you 30ml of juice you can, so all in all you shouldn't have too many problems.

In that case perhaps it was more a case of me being extra wide than the corridor being very narrow !!

There has to be enough of a turning circle to get in and out plus the door needs to be wide enough to facilitate that. I even got into trouble at the hospital last week as the door to the consultants office was too narrow for the chair! You'd think they would know better!

Yeah....you can sit on my lap and I'll speed you away to your hotel. We may end up in a ditch somewhere but hey, you can sleep anywhere when blathered Had another thought. Is there disabled parking? It's a nightmare trying to park with enough room at the back to get your chair out. Talking of chairs. We have a slight panic on. Went out for brunch today. When OH slid the wheelchair down the ramp the controller switch box fell down and dragged itself onto the road. Although it still switches on it won't drive!! Soooo not happy. Hoping he fixes it in time.

I won't be in my chair as Chris is not going to be there so I'll have no body to push me. I won't be much help for others though I am afraid. Also if you see me sitting by myself I'm not being rude, but will either be trying to make sure I don't lose my seat as I can not stand for long or just sitting in the nearest chair to me as I am in pain and need to sit. I don't plan to stay still all day but at times I may need to. You are all more than welcome to join me though it won't be because I am not wanting to talk to anyone.
I should add I can get very anxious in large crowds (yep I have mental issues as well as physical) so if you see me dashing (read hobbling) off or leaving abruptly in middle of conversation or even huddling in a quiet place taking deep breaths I will be just trying to calm myself down. I have learnt to stop panic attacks before they go full blown, but I just need a few mins to myself and out of the crowd! Having said that hopefully I will be able to stave off an attack without needing to escape!
Eta: normally I can make the excuse that I am popping out for a vape but that won't be so easy this weekend =p
