Hi I am also a wheelchair user and I am going for the first time with my husband. Couldn't tell you if it is disabled friendly, but if it isn, I shall just tie myself to a barstool in the pub on my own. You can join me if you wish.

Sorry I couldn't either, but as I said, I haven't been before. Thankfully, I got a text message from a friend today telling me that there are two steps down into the vendors tent. I am ok using crutches for a short distance so I am sure I could get in with hubby's help. Are you 100% wheelchair bound? I am wondering if they would or could provide a ramp to go down if its only a couple of steps.

I have just messaged Wayne67 who has a sticky at the top of this page. He seems to be the one who was organising vendors so hopefully he can give some info on ramps etc.

I can't answer the question but I am more than happy to throw you down the steps and drag you back up again later. Just make sure trays are folded away and seat backs are in an upright position

Thank you phiant. I have a set of ramps kindly given to me by Fiddles a few weeks ago. I would be happy to lend them to the area whilst I am there but would obviously need them back when we go as electric wheelchairs are way too heavy to lift in a car manually. I will wait to see if I get a response from this Wayne guy.

Hiya, Its that Wayne guy lol. There are 2 steps down into the Marquee. Ive spoken to the Manageress of the venue and she has said they have a board which is used when they have had Disabled guests before. Im quite sure that between the 2000 of us all will be peachy. (And the ramps sound ideal too)

I was going to reply by saying something like "PM/Email the organisers" but felt that would have been on a par with saying "google it"

I wasn't getting at you Chrissie, or anyone else really, just thought it odd that no one knew anything! All sorted now anyway.

Access to the vendors tent should be fine there'll be plenty of people to help. I'm not sure about toilet facilities though but it is a Most House so they should have facilities for the less mobile Sent from my Nexus 4 using proboards
