Flavouring help

After banging my head trying to find a suitable and cost effective bourbon flavouring (on this side of the ocean) to mix and vape I came across this brand www.malthouse.com.au/category.php?category_id=81 prestige Tennessee Whiskey essence, which is used in home brewing.  Now what has me slightly confused is the ingredients :- flavourings, oak extract, smoke extract r909, tannin, glycerine, invertose, distilled water, and caramel e150a, the tannin I know about (most commonly found in tea and wine)  and the invertose is a form of sugar, what I am unsure about is the 'smoke extract r909' as I have not come across this before. 

What I am trying to figure out is, is this ok to use as an e-juice flavouring

Might be worth looking up wood vinegar for the R909 as i think thats what it is.

Sorry no idea of the safety aspects of inhaling it .

I would Mr F . . . it might be a crime against Bourbon, but wouldn't a Whiskey flavour do the job?

Im pretty much a non drinker mrforgetful (other than a measure of whisky about once every year.

What would you say is the difference between a bourbon and a whisky? (might be able to suggest something to bring a whisky concentrate closer to bourbon)
