LBC - Duncan Barkes - Short e-cigarette discussion -12/08/13

Duncan Barkes, a phone in show host on LBC talking to callers about e-cigarettes on 12th August in reaction to the proposed rail bans.

He is of the opinion that banning e-cigs in public places is ridiculous.

Conversation doesn't go into much depth but worth a listen.


Uploaded to dropbox and I've edited it to cut out all other callers, adverts etc and it's 18 minutes long. 4MB download.

Apologies for the not so good sound quality. I cut down the bitrate a bit too much but it's all listenable.


First caller is a bit of a numpty but it's a view that a lot of non-smokers/vapers may hold. Duncan and the others talk a bit more sense:

I converted it into an mp4 and uploaded it on youtube.

I did everything on this www.freemake.com/free_video_converter/
It's pretty good software... and it's free

Thanks. I use Freemake to convert youtube videos into avi/mkv to watch offline. Didn't know it was that versatile

I don't understand why LBC doesn't go national as. Radio station. It is by far the best talk station in the country (apart from that idiot Nick Ferrari in the mornings )
This is the second time they have had discussion about vaping on there and both times it was a good debate.

I listen to LBC most nights on the iPad app. The other night I caught the last 10 mins, so no time to call in. If I catch another debate I will definitely call in.

I use AppGeeker video converter - converts any video file to other type of video format.

Now they have "decreed" that e-cigs should be lumped wholesale in with cigarettes and banned in every place where smoking is banned, this has become the no.1 refuge for anti e-cig people.

Didn't like the first caller much - he says "just stop" no patches or NRT, just stop. Helpful
