Welcome. If you haven't already bought, give us a chance to see if it's a decent kit at a decent price. - - - Not that there would be many "band-wagon rip-off merchants" in the world of e-cigs. ???

Welcome jayj! We are pretty new to all this too but you pick up the jargon quite quickly don't worry My hubby had been on rollups for 37 years and quit them overnight with the help of his vaper. Between us we now have 6 of those £7 blister packs, plus a couple of variable voltage batteries too. One tip is, don't assume you will want tobacco flavoured juices. They are the ones we've used the least!!

Johel, I'm steering clear of the tobacco flavours, I feel temptation could lie right there in something flavoured like the real thing. Thank you for your encouragement and thank you everyone for making me feel welcome. A couple of posts mentioned pics so I'm assuming pics of my kit ? As mentioned variable battery with a nice battery gauge to tell me how much charge I have, somebody mentioned this is ego type ? dont ask thread type I'm reading up on that or trying too lol. When I press my vape button depending on the setting I'm using it lights a different colour. Although I don't think theres much to choose between medium and high setting I find high just better suits my needs right now or maybe thats psychological. I feel I may have paid a little over the odds looking around. It was a high street shop shown earlier in the thread. Very helpful staff and immaculately clean and professional. Little disposable mouth pieces to try all the flavours, the staff wouldn't even handle those. All staff dressed identical, it was a very clinical experience actually. Spent a good 20 minutes going through things with me. I've bought cars in less time haha. Anyway, battery, clearo, 2 juices, usb charger, car charger came to £48. That seems steep having looked a little deeper but it was an impulse that had been brewing for a couple of months and if it keeps me off the lethal stuff then so be it. My daughter bought the luxury kit which was cheaper but had bits I didn't want and I wanted the higher voltage battery. I think hers says eGo-U on the carry case. I will be however buying a cheap blister pack backup. Thanks Fred for that link.

The blister pack as a backup is perfect. They are really good and we use them all the time. I have about 5 on the go at any one time, all with different flavours in At the moment I have aniseed balls, menthol, blueberry, cola and popcorn in my little pot. The thing with the tobacco flavours is that you THINK you will want them when you are about to quit. Then after a few days on the flavours, when your tastebuds come back, you realise that's not what you want at all. Of the 9 people I've converted to the vape so far, none of them wants tobacco flavours. The universal favourite staple is menthol - even for those of us who hated/never smoked menthol ciggies!!

Ayup Jay. This is a good place to be mate, I've had a very warm welcome . ..Hmmm, interesting.. If I had a beard I'd be gently rubbing it now.. Care to speculate why this is? Seems sorta' counter intuitive but I've seen an awful lot of people stating Methol as being among their favourites so it must be true.

It's just such a lovely clean, cool and refreshing taste. I recommended menthol to friends just doing their first order and they said naaah, don't fancy it, didn't like menthol cigs. Then they tried it in mine and have all completely changed their minds. Menthol and aniseed balls are the two flavours I will NEVER run out of!

JayJ - looking at your setup, I'd say its a CE4 clearo - the same as the one in a blister pack. Unfortunately, they are disposable items, and are not rebuildable. You will also need new clearos fairly soon, although you should be able to wash/rinse CE4s a few times. CE5, evod, vivi-nova, protank, mini versions of the last 2, etc, etc, etc are available and have replaceable/rebuildable heads.(Plenty of threads & advice on those already) As for flavours - I've not sampled a tobacco flavour yet (20 weeks smoke free)

I'm assuming by rebuildable you mean it can be stripped and any failing parts replaced ? I'm pretty useless when it comes to forum searches so I imagine I'll be begging advice if my assumption is correct and it's a cost effective alternative to buying new clearos ?

Correct - when the taste goes funky, if you've got one of the ones I mentioned (and several others) you can just replace the head, rather than the whole clearo. You can even replace the coil and wick yourself, thus making it cheaper again - you need to be slightly dexterous and have a multimeter (about £3 from fleabay) to check the resistance - bit fiddly but easy enough. Evods are a popular choice, but the pyrex protanks seem to be coming up in the rankings I've got one slowly swimming towards me from China, so hope it is good. Everyone has their own favourite clearos, so you may need to try several before you find the best one for you.

I know people keep posting the blister pack and yes its a great deal for £7 for an ego battery with a charger But for £2 more from the same vendor you could get a twist paradisevapeuk.vstore.ca/twist-type-900mah-p-552.htmlYes its a clone and yes it probably won't last as well as a real one but the blister pack is just an ego clone and I have to say my twist clone from FT (which is probably sourced from the same place), is slight aesthetic quirks aside every bit as good as my £22 spinner If you are just needing a second battery then I'd get one of these (I will wager real money it becomes you're got to device fairly quickly over the VV ego you have currently- the twist is a far better product than the VV ego...

Hmmm disposables may be the thing for me then as being slightly dextrous may be a problem. A touch of athritis blamed on a mispent youth and a few broken bits in my hands. Any advice on decent quality and good prices will always be appreciated. These seem inexpensive but would I be buying the right thing ? www.vapeland.co.uk/ce4-stardust-clearomizer-444-p.aspI've been reading up on resistance it's sunk in a bit but I'm hoping that doesn't have much relevance to me if I buy disposable clearos haha. I'm getting the lower the resistance the more power drain and less longevity of parts but a better vape.
