I have a large quantity of 1 inch solid oak floorboards left over from when we renovated a cottage in Cambridgeshire and they have travelled with me whenever I have moved house, cos I hate throwing things away. So armed with an old penknife, a blunt chisel and a lump hammer along with a large box of drawing pins, I decided to have a go at knocking up a Mod stand and with the help of some 510 inserts provided by "Our Mev", here is what I have ended up with:-

That is a very nice piece Greigster, am a bit jealous now. It's very similar to something I was planning but you seem to have forgotten the double cuts, blade burns and chisel marks Well done pal, it's a cracker

Well, it must be good if our dear Super-Shiny likes it!! I must admit that if I was able to, I would love something like this for my mods, batteries etc., but that way my OH would be able to see exactly what I have bought over the last nearly year, and that might not go down too well!! Great bit of craftmanship, Greigster, I'm always jealous of good work like this - I would agree with Raid about the mistakes that would be apparent for all to see if I attempted something like this myself!

Greigster that is one fine stand you have made. Time to use up the rest of the wood on more stands for other people I think

It took me longer to align the batteries than it did to make the stand........didnt want Rommers nagging me.
