Get yourself a flow tip from siam mods dave- problem solved That thought had crossed my mind blakey - alas a few days after I ordered their carto punch and one of their other drip tips After a couple of days unfortunately my two strand wick wimped out this morning - looking at it I guess it is just too thin, so made coil number three and reverted back to method 1 with three strands - getting good at this now - practically a pro This is good but a bit hit and miss, I think because with the 0.13 wire that came with it I only needed 4 turns to get 2.5 ohms. I guess my next step is to try some higher resistance wire. Anybody got a bit of 0.2 I can try or a source for a small quantity of it?

I've gone back to the two strand method (coil number 4!) but put an extra turn in the coil this time which brings it up to 3 ohms. It's going great, so will see how long this lasts me. Meantime I've concluded that my best bet is the .16 nichrome wire (clockworks provides .13) so have ordered some from wires.co.uk and will see how that goes. I've also decided to lavish £5 on some braid scissors as ordinary ones do tend to mash up the wick. It's amazing where an interest in vaping takes you - LED torches, wick makers, wire and carp fishing It must all seem a lot of faff to anyone new seeing all this, but really after you've done a couple of coils it's very easy - even with my eyesight! Also, the results are well worth it - the best flavour vape I've had. So much so that I've ordered a RDA and just heard from clockworks that it should be ready in a week - complete with black anodised brushed and polished cap

Well, just got a add a further thought to this. You were absolutley right the RDA is fantastic - so much so that I couldn't see me getting much more use out of the RTA, so passed it on to a new home I'm still using the first wick I made for my RDA and it has been completely reliable since day 1. All my other attempts at dripping have hit the occasional heights but have been a bit hit and miss. I now use this all the time to check out new juices or have a good vape on something particularly flavourful. I now understand why experienced vapers often prefer dripping. This whole re-buildable thing has been a real voyage of discovery! So thanks everyone for all the helpful advice and comments

Thanks for the offer peekay - I got 10m of 0.16 nichrome in the end and I find that works fine for me and should keep me going for a while!
