Hi all, i have been looking for a nice e-liquid that tastes like the E-Lites that i started off on (ie something that actually tastes like a cig). Haven't found anything close yet. what i have tried so far (in chronological order): 1. Deluxe tobacco from vape escape. This tasted a bit too sweet and nutty to me. Nothing like cigs but ok nonetheless. 2. Got some XO Supreme and XO RY44KK from Liberty flights. I opened them both within about 2 days of delivery. There were about 40 reviews for the Supreme, claiming it was a great tobacco for an all day vape. I found it DISGUSTING! There was a really overpowering liquourice/rosewater taste during the vape and as an aftertaste. I cant express how overpowering this was. The ry44kk was ok but a bit weak and sweet, still nothing like a cigarette. I have ended up mixing these 2 together but it still tastes too overpowering. 3. Got some more samples from Vape Eacape (Grizzwald's Golden Burginia, Grizzwald's Golden Leaf, Grizzwald's Juicy Pear and the standard Vape Escape Gold and Silveer). Grizwalds golden burginia was better than the XO supreme, but still had that nasty liqourice/perfumey taste. Still waiting to try his Gold Leaf and Juicy Pear. The Vape Escape Gold and Silver was quite nice (although a little harsh). The Gold and Silver is the closest that i have come to a ciggy taste yet. Its nice.
4. After some research, i am about to buy some of Triphammer's T&H Silver from Vape Escape, which has had great reviews.
My Questions to you guys:
1. can you guys tell me if you think that the others that i tried (particularly the XO Supreme and Golden Burginia) weren't steeped properly? I vaped the juices after 1 or 2 days of purchase. That liqourice perfume taste was so horrible and overpowering. I am surprised that the XO Supreme had such good reviews yet i found it so nasty - This makes me think that i didnt steep it enough.
2. If i put all these tobacco samples aside (particularly the XO Supreme/RY44KK mix, the Grizwald Golden Burginia and the Grizwald Gold Leaf) to steep, i dont really need to leave the tops off do i?
3. I use a seperate cartomizer for each liquid. Right now i have 5 on the go (one for the Supreme/RY4k mix, one for the RY4k, one for the Deluxe tobacco, one for the Golden Burginia and one for the Gold and Silver. If i leave the Supreme and Golden B to steep, I will leave the cartomizers to steep with them (as they are currently tainted with that perfume/liquourice taste). Will these cartomizers recover or will i have to use brand new carts in a week to test the newly steeped liquid?
Really appreciate your help guys. As many told me in the beginners section, it's all about trying samples until you're happy. For this reason, im not too bothered about all the carts im getting through because this is the upfront cost of finding a liquid that i like. I will let you know what the T&H silver and the Grizwald Golden leaf is like when i try them!!!
Many thanks!!!

If its the closest you ve got then might be worth sticking with it and either get a lower nicotine strenth, get one with less pg % or you could try this stuff www.postmodernsmoking.com/index.php/shop/diy-e-liquid-mixing-1/flavours/10ml-mts-vape-wizard.htmlIm not sure if its out there as a made up liquid but i found the gold pack to have much the same taste but more mild . hope this helps ps...just thinking ...im pretty sure the gold and silver has a mild equivelent (might be worth checking where you bought it from)

You will struggle. Spend lots of money at your peril. The closest I found was liberty fights luxury blend. Others have agreed. However, unless you vape it at 3.5 watts on a plastic stick, even that won't taste the same. Been there, got the t shirt. Haven't read the whole thread as I'm on mobile phone in middle of nowhere. Good luck.

PS. Gold and silver in a carto is nice. In a tank its deathly sweet. However its another liquid like RY4 that never tastes the same from one make to the next.

Hi guys, thanks for the reply. Yes, i have spent at least £40/£50 on e-liquids and cartos over the last week or so (who said vaping was supposed to save you money??!!) but i theory i shouldnt have to spend any more for a long time. I am hoping that this T&H Silver will be as good as everyone says it is.
My real questions were around all the other liquid that i now have (the LF XO supreme etc). Will it potentially get better as i leave it? has anyone else experienced those horribly overpowering liquourice/perfume tastes with teh more golden tobacco liquids? what have you done with the cartomizers that were tainted by trying them too early?
DJs it's funny how a carto alters the flavour so much! i would have expected that a bit, but not a completely different flavour as you are suggesting!
kind regards and as always, thanks for the help!

fruees - yes, is the short answer to your question about steeping. It's quite likely that those juices are still quite freshly made, and would benefit from at least a couple of weeks to mature, if not more. As far as the cartos are concerned, if you are a good boy, then you will have kept the little silicone 'condoms' (yes, that's what they are called!) which originally sealed the cartos. Pop one of these on both ends and it should prevent the carto from drying out. Give it a good overnight soak in juice when you are ready to use them again, and they MIGHT be OK - can't say more than that, unless someone else has a better suggestion. Finding a suitable juice is always difficult - and finding a good tobacco flavour is the hardest challenge of all. It might be worth trying some of the tester bottles at www.joosejuice.co.uk and don't restrict yourself to tobacco flavours - many of us use fruits, sweets, mints and menthols even though we were all tobacco smokers. Your palate will change over time anyway, and at least if you find an Apple or Coolmint flavour, you aren't reminding yourself of the tobacco taste. menthol is also great for those days when your tastebuds just don't register with any other flavours. Best of luck, and keep us posted!

1&2 : I'd be surprised if steeping the liquids for at least 5-7 days didn't improve the flavour a bit at least. It has done here with pretty much every bottle I've bought. I left the cap off & took the driphead out too, and just put the cap back on every few days to give the bottle a shake. There's other methods listed here : www.thealchemistscupboard.co.uk/page/steepingP.S Remember to shake the bottle well too before you fill your cartos, clearo, tanks, etc... 3 : The carto should let some of the new juice soak through if you're using it in a tank. I've had some success with this, but you might get a slight aftertaste from some liquids that just wont shift. You could also try cleaning the cartos out by boiling them, blowing out the excess water, and then letting them dry out. Search on YouTube for videos. Btw, If you want a cheap way of testing liquids then I'd suggest grabbing one of these for just under £5 : www.ltecigs.larsentilbrook.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=60_123&product_id=678I just received one today & it's a little gem for the money. Looks easy to clean, and to recoil too as the posts have small philips screws. Seems to hold around 10-20 drops of juice, which is plenty for getting the taste of something.

thanks for the tips all. I think that i should def buy some kind of clearo / tank to test these juices on. im sick of using up all these cartomizers... any tips on a good model from VapeEscape (favourie vendor) would be much appreciated.
Regarding the juice, my 2 Triphammer juices arrived today (T&H Silveer and Strawberrry champagne) so i will vape those tonight and let you know how they turn out.
Moody, thanks for the link to the other thread - i am hoping that the T&H Silver will be THE tobacco flavour for me (even though you didnt like it).

Tobacco flavours, as has been pointed out, are the hardest to find a suitable one. Best for me so far are health-e-vape's USA mix and probably TW's Classic Tobacco (although I'm not sure if that one is flavour concentrate only)... also TW's American Red is well thought-of by some I know but not tried it myself. Both of the above are not sweet-tasting tobaccos, more dry

Grizwalds Golden Burginia recipe does it for me but I always leave it to steep for 2 weeks. I have recently mixed my first 5ml of Flavourart Golden Rollie and can't wait to try it (5 more days steeping to go).

I have found that Vapeescape Three 5s and Seven Wolves are the closest thing to a real ciggie they have an ash taste to them. Also USA Mix has a Marlborough tatse to it.
