Lorann Flavourings

I'm a bit confuddled by these, because they are called oils by some sellers and we always say no to oil based flavourings.

Yet, I've seen them recommended for using in ejuice.

Are they ok to use as these seem quite a good buy.

Yes they are perfectly OK to use, I don't know why they call them oils as there are very few that are oils and they are highlighted as containing oil.

So you can go right ahead and use them with confidence.

As a relative newcomer to mixing, I have read all of your Information Posts (UK Vapers) with great interest and have learned a lot.

Like Perpetua, I ordered a batch of 36 different LorAnn Flavourings (They actually sent me 42!) on E-Bay and after reading a Post or PDF (somewhere) about NOT using Oil-based flavours OR anything with Artificial Colours in them - I seperated out my LorAnn Purchase according to the list and ended up with only about 10 out of the 42 that I am recommended to use.

I am very interested in your comment here and would certainly be prepared to try a few of the oils now!

Much as I hate to contradict the mighty Grizwald, like so much else in life, it isn't quite as simple as that. Wintergreen for instance is basically a complete no-no. Full stop. Some others are also questionable and to be perfectly honest I'd recommend some study before you go leaping in.

Aside from the issue of oils and insolubility in water (which may not actually be a problem as water is not a primary constituent in eliquid) there is also the matter of sugar and artificial colouring being included in some of them.

One of the best resources I know is in ECF here: www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/74109-guide-diy-flavoring.html which is a huge great long thread but most of what you will be interested in about Lorann is right at the beginning along with links to further info resources.

Two of the most relevant to your concerns are www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/28975-lorann-flavors-color-coded-complete-ingredients-list.html and also www.exogenesis.co.uk/Loranne1.htm although the latter is now outdated as TW no longer sell Lorann - must confess I'd be interested to know why that is, too.

Perpetua - Having said all that, many of them are indeed absolutely fine to use and I can even point you towards another eBay seller which could be even cheaper cgi.ebay.co.uk/LorAnn-Hard-Candy-Flavoring-Oil-10-Ct-Assorted-Bottles-/110443991237?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19b6f990c5 if you are looking at quite a few different ones and aren't in a mad rush. These would work out at less than £1.50 a bottle.

I have been careful whenever I've ordered LorAnn flavourings to make sure that they are water or alcohol based. The ones I've used are :

English Toffee, Butter Rum, Mint Choc Chip, Cinnamon Roll, Keoke Coffee, Pralines and Cream, Black Walnut.

All of the above are perfectly safe to use. However due to shipping costs because of buying in bulk I now source my flavourings from other sources i.e. F'art, TPA.

In all honesty I've enough flavourings to stock a cake shop now :-[ . . . it was just the English Toffee that took my fancy, as it's not a flavour TPA/F'art stock and I'd thought it might make a change from Caramel or Butterscotch.

But! If you wanted Tetsab, how about doing a group order with that Ebay seller as I'm sure a few other 'mixers' could well be interested . . . .
