Hey all,
Got my SS Vamo V2 yesterday, so I finally got to try out the AGA-S I bought 2nd hand earlier in the week.
Wicked & coiled with the bits johnners supplied to me.
1.5ohms. No hotspots. Good to go.
Lined the airhole up with the wick, set the Vamo to 9.5 watts and pressed fire!
Great flavour, not quite the throat hit I was expecting ( my 1.8ohm cartos hit harder with the same juice ) and plenty of vapour.
So I decided to drill it out to 1.5mm...
This produced more vapour, a bit more throat hit but less flavour. It tasted like I was vaping an Evod or T3s again.
I'm quite surprised that 0.5mm made the difference it did to be honest. Didn't think it would be that noticeable.
At least I now know that 1mm is too tight for me & I find 1.5mm a bit to airy.
Now to fill the hole in and drill a new 1.2mm hole instead.
And I'm now done for as I finally bit the bullet & opened a Fasttech account to order a blue K100.
Sadly I noticed that CharliesVapeShop is selling them on their own for not much more cash the following day, or I'd have it by now also.

A very small change in diameter on a hole makes a big difference to the area, It's simple geometry.

If you are filling a hole it might be easier to fill one and drill another on the other side. If you can find a softish metal rod the right size and use that as a rivet for the old hole - tap the ends over it wont need to be water tight just enough to fill the gap.

As Mark noted... The area of a: 1mm hole is 0.7853982 mm² 1.2mm hole is 1.130973 mm² 1.5mm hole is 1.767146 mm²
So going from a 1mm hole to a 1.5mm hole more than doubles the size of the hole and will more then double the air flow.
Have fun I

This is what I get for not doing my maths beforehand I'll fill the current one & re-drill a new one at 1.2mm this time. Think that should be big enough. If I botch it I'm not too worried as the Aga-S was really just to see if I would get along with RBA's in the first place. And I do! Well apart from the drilling bit...
