Trying to find an 11/32 drill bit to make a hole for a 510 connector and I just want to say damn the inventor of that 510 connector and not using the metric system to decide on the connector width!
I've been trying for hours to find an 11/32 drill bit for aluminum/metal/plastic that doesn't cost me 10 times more than the original value to post to Belgium icon_shoppingm

testdruif11 divided by 32 times 25.4 = 8.73125 mm. Can you not use use a 8.75mm drill which will be more readily available in Belgium?

Should have only drilled out half the hole and left the original at standard size at the end, that way there is less restriction to pull through but more air around the hole. Bit like a carburettor.

We may have originated the imperial measurement system but the UK went metric decades ago. If you want to grumble about modern engineers using it you need to look west, to our former colonial friends.

Metals are hard and will slightly crush the ribs on the 510 connector, wood/plastic are soft and the ribs will cut a path.
So here's what I do depending on material to drill:
Mild Steel/brass 8mm HSS bit, test fit and adjust with HSS reamer to approx 8.3mm.
Wood/plastic 7mm wood bit, test fit and adjust with hand reamer to approx 8mm.
I have tried this with several brands of 510 connector and it works fine for me.
