Hi everyone
I'm using Evods currently but fancy trying something different. Can I buy a Riva or an Ego without buying lots of extra kit? Will my Evod batteries and charger leads/plugs fit an Ego or a Riva?
Also is there a cheap place to buy replacement heads for the Evods? I seem to get through them even with using Ros's tip for sterilising.
Lastly ( thanks guys) are the replacement heads all the same for the Evod/Riva/ego?

Hi everyone I'm using Evods currently but fancy trying something different. Can I buy a Riva or an Ego without buying lots of extra kit? Will my Evod batteries and charger leads/plugs fit an Ego or a Riva? Yes, the Evod, Riva & Ego all have the same connector which is a Ego connector, it actually has 2 threads, one external (Ego) and one internal (510) so anything that is either Ego or 510 will fit.
Also is there a cheap place to buy replacement heads for the Evods? I seem to get through them even with using Ros's tip for sterilising. Cheapest is China, Vaporbreak or Fasttech, but be prepared to wait 3 weeks if you choose free shipping. In the UK you'll pay from £1.50 to £2.50 each, just have a look on the vendors board for special offers and don't forget the discount codes.
Lastly ( thanks guys) are the replacement heads all the same for the Evod/Riva/ego? I As I said above any atomisers with a Ego or 510 thread will fit a Eco, Riva or Evod, as to the INTERNAL replaceable coil/wick head the ones in the Evod, Protank, Davide are all the same and interchangeable.

mollyAre you wanting to try a different battery or clearo/carto/atty? An alternative(upgrade) from an evod clearo, would be a Protank (which takes the same heads as an evod) or a Davide (which I think also takes the same heads) - not used a Davide, but my Kanger Protank from fasttech for £8.13 delivered in 14 days is excellent.

mollyIf you're going through a lot of heads, maybe get some wick & wire, and a cheap multimeter from fleabaay (£3 ish) and recoil them yourself? It's very easy. I would suggest getting some wick anyway, to replace the little bit on top of the coil (no coiling needed, but you can never clean this bit properly & should probably throw it away and replace, when you clean your heads - I certainly do )

fred I never considered just changing the wick on my evods, funny that as the oh says I'm an inconsiderate pr**k, that must be what she means eh. I'm tryin not to thread hijack, but what wick would I use and where from, and would it help to lengthen evod wicks, vape wise etc. I think they're good to start with. Hopefully info will help molly aswell. Jay

JayJWhen you pop the rubber top off the head, there is a couple of strands of really gunky wick on top of the coil. I pull these out carefully and bin them. The can be replaced with equally short lengths of 1 or 1.5mm wick. I have a couple that Ive not bothered replacing, and put them back together without. Some folk have leaking issues like that though. (could possibly even use cotton wool? but would deffo burn during a dry hit) Once the top is popped, and rubbish removed, you can get the coiled wick really clean, buy dry burning, and carefully removing the gunk with a pin - you can also shuffle the coils with a pin, so they heat up evenly. Ive bought wick from ecigwizard, ebnferro, somewhere else, but the vapemesh company have EVERYTHING you need for wicks & coils. Probably don't lengthen the wicks for an evod - its BCC - & they'd be a bugger to get back in. Hope that helps?

Just to say.... myepack are not messing around with expensive replacement heads. I think I got a 5 pack for £6 or something. Genuine Kanger in the black boxes too.
I've given up paying £10 from now on. It's too expensive for what they are i.m.o.

Kraken ecigs are doing Kanger heads for £6 a box now too - not much more than FT without the 2 week wait
Yes I'm inept (my rewicking attempts so far have all ended in messy failure - or to be more accurate, foul burned tasting failure) but at just over £1 a pop for a fresh head rewicking seems way more hassle than its worth - but that's probably my laziness
