Help needed with flavours please!

5 weeks today and I am still vaping but having a few problems with flavours..Nothing I try seems strong enough for my tastebuds.   I am at the moment using Blackcurrant double strength with 10% menthol from Vapology the other one I use is Very Berry double strength again from Vapology. I have been buying loads of 10ml testers from all over the internet including coffee, candy, apple, tobacco, menthol, chocolate, caramel, mint choc chip got about 20 in the cupboard lol and not really liked any of them.   Using my original purchase which was Riva Deluxe but also bought a  spinner Battery and Clearomisers. I still have not got much idea what I am doing if i'm honest  any help would be appreciated please!

Finding the right eliquid can be hard, your taste buds will change alot after giving up the stinkies.

Most of us chop and change what we vape during the day to help keep the taste buds alive. Menthol usually works well to wake them up for a while at least.

As zeldamum says many people mix it up a bit throughout the day.

I still get periods of up to 2 weeks where my taste buds seem to go on strike.

Two things that seem to help me are using the wrong hand to vape (you point the vapour at the other side of your tongue) and a long slow inhale followed by a long slow exhale through the nose rather than puff it back out of your mouth.

Keep at it though, a tasteless vape is better than a stinky fag!

Hi lolly, are you trying the spinner at the different voltages as this will alter the flavour? sometimes better sometimes worse lol

Thanks for advice guys. Costing me a fortune for clearomisers at the minute lol. Is there anyway you can try the different flavours without using a whole clearomiser, tried washing some out but still tastes the previous flavour.
I might try just a menthol one and see if that helps, I must admit I am like a kid in a sweet shop with all the different flavours you can try only to be disappointed when I vape them..
I have tried the spinner on different voltages maybe its just me but I don't feel the inhale part is strong enough, hard to describe not enough pull bit like sucking on a empty straw same with the Riva as well... not to good at explaining.

Do you mean that you don't feel like you are inhaling anything....a bit like smoking a silk cut mild when you are used to unfiltered roll ups???

How much did you smoke and what strength juice are you vaping? Sounds like you need a juice with a good throat hit as well as plenty of vapour at the right nic strength. I am sure some of the more experienced vapers will join in with advice soon but from my own experience a darker smokier flavour is much more satisfying than fruit flavours. Maybe combined with 1.8ohm heads for a warmer vape and juice which is 70% or 80% PG, but the correct nic strength is the most important thing or else you will tooting constantly without getting the nic you need.

Pam I smoked Superking Black (they are quite strong) 30 a day for many many years. I have been vaping 18mg nicotine but you totally lost me with this bit 1.8ohm heads?

I was a 30 a day Royals smoker and at first 18mg didn't cut it for me so I added some 24mg for those times when I needed more, particularly 1st thing in the morning.

After a week or so I was able to go back to 18mg full time, but many people vape at many different strengths. I know somebody who chugs 36mg all day!

Have you tried only filling your clearo halfway for your flavour safari's? Is less to pour back into the bottle. You could also try a Bauway 306 dripper with drip tip, only takes a few drips of juice and is perfect for trying flavours.

If you disassemble your clearo, rinse and then soak in water with a denture tablet it will freshen everything up.

After that I just shake off the plastic and dry the metal parts with a hot air gun, a hair dryer would do.

Put any flavours you don't fancy in the back of a drawer and come back to them in a week or so, you may be pleasantly surprised at the change.

lolly the only thing that hit the spot for me during my first few weeks was Grizwalds Menthol Tabac from vapeescape. After a couple of 30ml bottles of this I was able to begin to appreciate the other juices that I had previously discarded as useless. But as raid2506 has said don't be tempted back to the smokes as a tastless vape is better than a stinkie fag. Good luck with your search for vaping nirvana.

I smoked amber leaf rollies and started at 24mg, 18mg might not be enough to stop the 'I need a ciggie' demons which is where the not feeling 'right' thing is coming from. Forget the thing about the 1.8 heads I think your nic is too weak. The two juices I mentioned are tobacco ones but very flavoured and not in any way ashtray like. Hang on in there and get some stronger nic juice
