Received my new VAMO from Fasttech a couple of days ago ...( eventually !) I ordered 2 extra 18650 batteries .... But they won't work !! Have I bought the wrong ones ? The positive terminal is much smaller than on the batteries it came with .... Any help greatly appreciated ...

My vamo from Fastech is very temperamental . Sometimes I sit clicking 5 times again and again, thinking "it's broke" then suddenly it will fire up. Hopefully that's all it is with yours

Asking a silly ? have you tried some other 18650 batteries and as padiho said sometimes more than 5 clicks works . Seems to be the batteries as you said it works with 18350

I only use flat top in mods so cant help with whether the button top work, have you tried stretching the bottom spring to make sure connection is nice and tidy

I've just noticed that the batteries have "short circuit and over-current protection"..... Could this be the reason ?

Might be stating the obvious, but they are charged? Failing that, you did read all the posts about buying batteries with 'fire' in the name? (I've got a couple of Ultrafires, and one went bad in less than 6 weeks.) 3600mah - really?

check they are charged - the vamo will flash to read the battery, that its the right way round and that it has sufficient charge, if it detects a problem with either it will refuse to continue.

It'll be the batteries, mine wouldn't work with protected ones, the Vamo has built in protection. This is copied from Stealth Vapes site.."Protected type Li-Ion batteries in general will not work effectively in the vamo – the over current protection renders them unusable as they usually have a current limit of 1 to 2.5 amps and vamos require up to 5a,"

They've been on the cheapo charger that came with the Vamo for 12 hours ( why didn't I get the night core charger .... Guess that's what happens when you place your order whilst under the influence of Sauvignon blanc..) I have no way of testing them to see if they are charged ... Unless anyone has a DIY method .... The Vamo won't stay on long enough to give a reading
