We run 900w oil filled radiators in the van and in the shed. These were less than 25 quid each. And 2kw ones in the house, however the house ones are only used in the Spring and in the Autumn when the central heating is off and we just want to heat a couple of rooms. Once the central heating goes on, they get stored away.
Yeah Karma and being the true scot you are it didn't die after a week. I got two from poundstretcher last year...they died pretty pronto....not wasting my cash this year
Well no wonder the men feel the cold up there.................wouldn't catch me wearing a frock........................mind you, then again....
Kilts are very very warm , think their are a few on this forum that can testify to that besides myself.
I have actually had the pleasure of donning the attire on one occasion & must say, it felt quite liberating having the old meat & veg dangling freely.........(probably a tad too much information for the faint hearted amongst us)............
I'm not sure Karma, but they have to be cheaper than a conventional electric fire.
We basically got onto them because of the caravan. They are safe to leave on 24/7 and ofcourse they make no noise when we are sleeping at night. They are also safer because we have the two dogs yet when they are on full belt you cannot touch them. They heat up the van no problem and unlike wall radiators, you are getting heat from both sides.
On the down side, although you can lift them, they are heavy hence the fact that they are on Castors.
Good answer. We have 2 of these oil filled ones, and one for the same reason.
Ours are made by supawarm. They are supposedly not too expensive to run but promise more power than they actually deliver.
No complaints mind you. Then again, our caravan is only 12 foot!
