Received an Igo-L today from Safercigs

Managed to wick and coil it, got 2.0 ohms at my first attempt

Well done zeldamum, The Igo-l is a great dripper and so easy to rinse under the tap when you want to try another flavour.

It even worked........for 5 minutes

Need more practice I think.

What happened?

The outside of the I go was getting quite hot, so I looked at the coil, it was touching the sides, moved it away from the sides and stopped working.

I guess I mucked up. Good job I have plenty of wick and wire to practice with.

zeldamum when I recoiled my igo-l I just used a single coil ..... the way I looked at it was that there is only one air hole so why 2 coils? Much less fiddly to fit one coil and same great performance!

ETA: I got mine already set up with a double coil from Fasttech, and have just realised that yours may not have come with the same setup.

Mine came with no coil at all. Only tried a single coil.

Second attempt I got 1.0 ohm not good enough to wick on my svd.

Will try again tomorrow.

I'm still learning with my Octopus, but what I can see is it depends on the thickness of the wire (thinner is more resistant) and the number of turns in the coil. So try another turn or 2 to up the Ohms! Conversely, with the same wire, if it's not resistant, drop the number of turns, or get some thicker wire

Well done zeldamum - it's not too tricky to get a good coil every time after a bit of practice. Even now, I still wind a duff coil from time to time, so don't despair, you'll get there in the end!

It might take you a few attempts zeldamum but you will get there.
It's a great dripper, the flavour I get from mine is brilliant

Still waiting for mine from fasttech (been over three weeks ) can't wait!! For now I got the Octopus, which i find a little annoying as the head comes off to easily.

I got 1.6 ohm last night, but it didn't wick very well. I will try again later.

Timbo I hope yours arrives soon. I tried chykensa at a recent mini meet, loads of vapour and flavour great dripper.

If you were having issues with Wicking is it possible you wrapped to coils too tight strangling the wick? If that was possible you could try laying a needle or straightened paper clip along the wick when to u wrap it. Because when the juice hits the wick the wick will expand slightly, I might be way off but it's worth bearing in mind.

My igo is sitting at 1.6 and vapes like a champ! Keep at it!!
