That's really interesting Prof. Does make you wonder just how many vapers there are out there that aren't affiliated with any forums?

I would think that there are loads how many times do you see " Hi im a noob to this forum but been vaping X", just my thoughts

This forum isn't 'closed,' therefore anyone can read a thread member or not. However, such 'guests' will often check on recommended products, read reviews and then toddle off to a retailer to purchase. They won't necessarily want to take part in polls or join to post. Do 'page views' take into account non-registered clickers?

Many forum users register to ask questions or to moan - perhaps the Screwdriver is so good no-one has anything to complain about - they simply read how good it is, buy one and disappear into the ether.

Tricky things, these numbers, Prof! Fun article, though and thanks for doing the poll.

Another relevant factor of course is time - how many SD-owning forum members just didn't happen to see the poll? I sometimes don't drop in for ages, then come in regularly for a while (like now!) then disappear again for weeks or months.

Not likely to happen I know, but it would be fascinating if some of the larger sellers would just publish how many names there are on their customer lists split down by country - might give us some kind of idea how widespread vaping really is.

It's only a very light hearted bit of "research" - the point really is that (SDs apart), there are loads of people who don't make use of forums, and many that only use them when they need to find something out.
