Hi all I've decided to bite the bullet and buy a Vamo V3 from Hong Kong as the price is so good at the mo Can anyone tell me if these batteries would be ok? LinkyIs there a maximum Mah it can use? Or anything else to look out for? As quite a heavy vaper what sort of time can I expect from using an 18650 battery? Thanks Steve

Personally i would stay away from batteries with the word fire in them. Fasttech do panasonic batteries which are highly recommended and would be great for the vamo. Not sure on run times though.

haha thanks guys - I guess the "fire" named ones are a no-no then going by both of your responses!
Luckily I'm getting the Vamo from Fasttech (something like £22!) so I'll get batteries from there too

I have a couple of the 18650B's as linked above and they are great. Don't cheap out on the charger either though. Get a Nitecore i4 now and don't have to worry about getting a better one later.

Thanks for your suggestions and help guys.. looking forward to seeing if the Vamo is a viable alternative to my VV passthrough as I find my normal Ego batteries don't give me enough oomph when I'm at home. (I try to only use them when I go out etc)

I have a few Panasonic for my vamo and half a dozen Ultrafire that I use for torches and may lend them to friends while they try out an ecig. The ultafire are a lot lighter than the panasonic and run out of power in a hour or so, no chance they are the 4900mha they claim to be but for £1.15 a pop they are good enough to have a few knocking about. I would guesstimate the mah to be between 1000 & 2000 on the ones in this link. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/180961966166?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

What are the differences in the chargers?

Method I've been getting 2 days out of each battery from the vamo v2 pack with the nitecore charger and sony batteries from fasttech, someone else recommended some panasonics but I believe the Sonys you get in the set from fast tech last longer

Yeah I was looking at that the other day, a most excellent kit imo. If they ever do it with the purple aluminium vamo, I'm sold
