Hi everybody! I have been vaping for 5 days. I have been using full PG liquid which is only what I can assume has caused the following reactions: Slight rash on my chest Aching muscles Irritation/tingling on my lips tounge and throat My first mouth ulcer ever on my lower gum next to my right cheek Some headaches Dry mouth tightness in throat (probably as I am freaking out with all the reactions) lol Awsome Now from what I read I can see I need to drink more water. Has anyone else had the same experience and what did they do? I have used mentol/blueberry/vanilla and strawberry flavours. I experimented today and the symptoms came on stronger immediatly after use. What to do.. I dont want to smoke! Thanks in advance! x

Hello & welcome serena It does indeed sound like you have an intolerance to PG & as dinamic22 says, you need to use juices with a higher VG content.

Hi Serena, good advice above re the VG, it's also thought that smoking kills some bugs in your mouth and also reduces blood flow to the gums, so new quitters / switchers often experience problems such as ulcers and bleeding gums at first. I hope the VG works for you

serena - hi and welcome to the forum! I also suffered a bit from ulcers and bleeding gums when I gave up smoking after 35 years, but it soon passes. Good advice above about trying juice with a larger %age of VG, and you should find this helps. Small sips of water regularly will help ease the sore throat and dry mouth, and once again you will adjust quite soon. Keep us posted, and please ask away if you have any questions! Andy

Hi everybody! Thank you for the warm welcome!!! I do have one 70/30 pg/vg Im going to try out when the symptoms come down and see how that works. Until then I am using a nicorette stick like thing. I forgot to ask one more question. What does analouge mean in terms of cigs?

Hi and welcome serena Analogue is just a pet name for a normal cigarette (analogue = old style tv etc etc and in this case a cigarette being analogue with the e cig being the modern equivelent)
70/30 if you have an intolerance is still quite high (you can take it down to 50/50 30/70 and even lower pg if required
Good luck

serena re your quote IMO it would not be worth you trying the 70/30 pg/vg it looks like you need the ratio as i suggested in my first post, then if you settle down with vg heavy juices you could try again with the 70/30 pg/vg. You can buy vg from Boots near the cough medicines, www.boots.com/en/Boots-Value-Health-Glycerin-B-P-200ml_852418/ or Tesco on the home baking section www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=254914123I know someone on here bought some & added it to their 70/30 pg/vg juices because of their sensitivity to the pg it will weaken the nicotine & flavour but would help out your sensitivity to the pg. It was a member called annie50 that did this & as i have tagged her she will reply to you when she is on the forum again.

Hi serena As dinamic22 says, I had this problem several weeks ago. I bought some vg from Tesco ( follow dinamic's link ) and then just added it to my already purchased pg heavy liquids. Since then I have only bought vg liquids and have been fine. Wishing you all the best in getting things sorted, it is not nice if you have reactions to pg but not the end of the world as hopefully vg will sort things out for you.

Hi serena and '' You poor girl .. so many symptoms at the one time. As per all the sound advice already given about lowering the PG percentage of the juice and drinking plenty of water .. the muscle aches are generally the result of dehydration. I hope your symptoms subside soon and as Karma said don't worry about having the odd ciggie in the meantime .. just as long as you come back to the fold lol.

Also suffered with rash and wheezy chest when I vaped 70pg/30vg. Went down to vg only but found it made too much phlegm ( sorry if anyone's having their tea) I now vape 50/50 and have no problems. 70 pg is still a bit high. Good luck
