I'm going to take the plunge into mixing and I'm now looking for my first dripper. What would you all recommend for a first time dripper?
I am ok at rebuilding, although I probably still need some more practice.

The igo l and w came set up from Fasttech but poorly done, I don't think any of them bought in the UK will come ready to use

Absolutely no contest for me - IGO-L every time. In fact I'm using it at home right now, and although I'm off out for a walk and will take a clearo and Spinner for use 'en route', the IGO is great. It's easy to recoil, takes quite a good amount of juice meaning that you don't have to keep dripping, and ot produces great flavour and loads of vapour. Coiling it is less critical than for an AGA, say, and you'll quickly find the wraps and ohm rating that's best for you. I use 3-4 wraps of .2 Kanthal and 2mm silica wick doubled over, and it's a really super bit of kit. And you can find them for about £12 from an UK vendor too.

I'm on an Igo L right now, same coil as chykensa (my auto correct wants to call you 'chickens') but a cotton wool wick, which is much easier to swap out when you change flavours I find. I can get enough drips in it to last me the best part of an hour.

The Igo's sound really good, how would they compare to a Smok Scar? What about 306 attys, are they any good?

Igo's are great, Scar is great. The benefit of the Igo over the scar in my eyes is the working area to set up and also you don't need to drip as much with the igo because you can get the wick on the deck which soaks up the juice better. But I still love the scar.

So I got an Igo-W. I set it up with a 2.8 coil, first draw - amazing, great flavour. Next few draws still really good, I then topped it up with 3-4 drops and the next draw I get raw thoat hit. Air holes are leaking juice, am I doing something wrong?

What wick configuration did you use if only a single coil, it's quite a roomy atomiser so you can squish a reasonable amount of wick in to soak up the juice.

If you've got enough wick in it, with a single coil to start off with then you can probably get at least 10 in, after that 3/4 at a time Lardy. You might find setting it again with more wick would help solve the flooding.

I've been adding about 5 drops at a time and it seems to be working fine. No flooding and a fantastic vape. What's your personal setup for the Igo-W?

Thank you for the compliment Lardy, very kind of you and my pleasure. I think we just enjoy helping each on our forum though so I can't pretend to have the monopoly on that, it's what I love about our corner of cyber space. Personally I like the Igo W with a dual coil wick, which I then use on a mechanical mod - normally the Drawtube. I love the Igo's because they're so easy to coil, lots of space to work in if you're of a visually challenged age. Good to hear yours is behaving itself now.
