I had problems with my broadband and so BT told me they were sending out an engineer.
Panic on my part as I knew I would have to clean up my lounge and, in particular, my computer desk. This was a major task!
I re-discovered lots of vaping bits and pieces, amongst which was a pair of Li-on 17335 1000 mAh batteries. I have no recollection of buying them and have no idea what I would use them in.....
Any thoughts?
Lynda

Bel, He did indeed fix it, but not without causing me more than a little stress.... He changed the phone socket in my sitting room and then asked if I had another socket anywhere. I replied that I had one in the kitchen that I never used.... "I'd better take a look at that one" he said.
NOOO. "I can't let you into my kitchen; it's a tip"
He gave me a 'look'.
I caved in and allowed him in there and of course he had to pull out my trolley to see the phone socket. Well, there was enough dog hair behind it to stuff a mattress!
He fiddled with the socket and then said he had to go to do some checks at the green box thing down the road, said he would only be a few minutes.
90 minutes later, he still hadn't returned and I was thinking that he was so appalled by the state of my kitchen that he wasn't going to come back.
He finally returned however and had needed to go to sort something out at the exchange.
All sorted now.
I really should be a tidier person...
Lynda.

I was a BT engineer years ago, and believe me the sights i saw back then would amaze most people. I was a business engineer, so in office blocks most of the time, but we still worked at people's houses when they wanted a business line etc. Let me tell you, a slightly untidy living room or kitchen with washing up in the bowl is *nothing* to BT guys. I've had jobs where i literally refused to enter the room. One place had what can only be described as a *FULL* foot deep of rubbish covering the whole room! IT was as though 10 -20 wheely bins of kitchen waste had been emptied on the floor and left to fester for a year! Unbelievable. Another was in a seemingly 'nice middle class' home, the old mum lived in the downstairs part and her son (never saw him) lived in the upstairs part, like flats almost. The downstairs was OK, nice furnishings and clean and tidy, the upstairs was another story! There was...how can i put it delicately..dog crap covering almost the whole of the upstairs...it was everywhere...and some of it had been there so long, it had turned white with age. I have never seen anything like it before or since, i called the RSPCA out to investigate that one! Needless to say, i didn't do any work in there either. Then of course, there was the stereotypical buxom blond in a very revealing and short, silk dressing gown, virtually open at top, leaving not much to the imagination! (i did the work in that one! ) Don't worry, BT engineers have seen it all before, and a lot more than you'd think!

Well, I'd dumped all the junk from my lounge into the kitchen and shut the door. I thought I was safe!
I remember the time when I was expecting a package via RM and the doorbell rang whilst I was in the shower.
I flung a towel round myself and ran downstairs, hair sopping wet, opened the door to postie who said "OMG, you were in the bath..here, take the parcel....."
Never saw him again....

Chrissie,
There's a thought...
I decided an hour ago that I would try them in my GGTB. They are working well but I worry that I might cause an explosion. (Not that anyone would be able to find my remains in the debris in my house)
I know that I saw a pair of yellow/ fat/short batteries yesterday morning when I was stowing things out of sight. I'll probably never see them again...
My brother and sister will be completely perplexed by the number and type of batteries/chargers they find when they are clearing my house after my death, probably caused by the shock of someone wanting to enter my house...

You do have to be careful when stacking Li-on batteries Lynda. Plus as they are only 3v, don't try recharging them in a 3.7v charger. Lol, I went into panic mode this morning. Got a phone call from some friends of a friend who are down here on holiday. Asking if it was OK to pop in for a cuppa. I said, yeah OK, when? They said they where just turning into the entrance of my lane With all of my cats, I need to vacuum every day & was just about to start when I got the phone call. A couple of weeks ago, I was having my boiler serviced. Had given the kitchen a thorough clean before hand. Plumber pulls the cover off the boiler accompanied by a cloud of cat hairs that must have collected on the top of the boiler
