I can afford one of the places Roscopecotrain suggested but it's a few miles away and I'm not sure what time the last stagecoach leaves.

Those places i listed are less than a mile away from the pub raid. I would say you could walk it buy there is no footpath up the hill and some tight corners. No bus stops in prestleigh either. A taxi from prestleigh inn to cannards grave cant be more than £4 at the most mate. Will pm you in a bit mate.

Will bear that in mind mate. I didn't actually check the mileage so it may well be an option.

I'm sure the walk back will be fine, so long as I remember to wear dark clothing and stagger drunkenly down the middle.

Hopefully me and offspring will still be coming, although to be honest Im worrying about the trip back when its dark as my daughter is a very new driver (just weeks) and we are still trying to find a route that doesnt involve motorway, or duel carriageways or busy traffic...we dont ask for much do we

The best route we found takes us MILES out of the way. Yep, we really are that useless
