I've just got home from a holiday in Icmeler and can't get over how many local people asked me about my ecig. When I explained all about how it works and how it has kept me cig free since I started using one everyone said they would love to be able to get hold of one to help stop them smoking. There is a jewelery shop there that sells ego battery for £10 but not the e liquid. I really think I've converted quite a lot of people into getting on the Internet and ordering. All of the time I was in Icmeler and Marmaris I only seen one other person using an ecig. It really surprised me as here it's the norm to see people where ever you go using one. I hope when i go back next year everyone will be using an ecig.

Good for you welshwestie ... we all need to keep spreading the word about the advantages of vaping to prevent future generations slowly killing themselves with tobacco as we have done!

welshwestie, i'm going to Marmaris on the 7th, thought about taking the Vamo, but have decided against it due to the controversy and possible ban on them (heard they were banned back in 2008, but that was just on sales and import of them, not use) unlikely that when you go back that everyone will be using them, this article popped up in March, www.worldbulletin.net/?aType=haber&ArticleID=105444 so i will just take the trusty Ego's as i don't want my mods snaffled by an overzealous official who is unsure of what is/isn't allowed.

Unfortunately, Turkey is a terrible place to ship to - we stopped a while ago.
It either gets returned, stolen or held onto for a month by the customs (who do like to have their palms crossed for collection).
A pity because there was a growing interest at the time.

It was the same in Oludeniz. Although some of the residents we saying that a government health guy was saying they cause cancer worse than cigs although we all know how corrupt the government are. I let a few people try my vamo, people with a 40 a day habit and they coughed there guts up... I don't think they understood when I said 'slowly' lol.

The first thing that ran through my mind when I read the heading was a picture of a turkey with an ecig in its mouth, Strange how minds work.

I'm not long back from a stay in Istanbul.
I generally went everywhere using an SVD in 18650 mode (I'm not into the stealth vaping thing).
I got lot's of interest from people.
There is so much mis- information in Turkey. I was told on numerous occasions that my vape was just as dangerous if not more harmful than cigarettes.
I think the Turkish tobacco industry has well and truly stomped on the ecigarette and the government just can't afford to lose the revenue it's making from a population of heavy smokers

Don't know about that ausfost but you can buy them now even though they are difficult to find. They shop owner I asked that was selling them bought a lot of kits when he was here in the UK to take back. I had my 2 spinners and ego along with 4x20ml bottles of juice in a see through plastic bag in my handbag. I had to empty my bag to go through security in Dalaman airport. They didn't bat an eyelid. Then again there's always one.
