I am nearly 3 months into my vaping journey now and I love it, in fact I think I am a little more involved than I should be, at the end of the day I am just vaping (smoking) I was not this obsessed with smoking, smoking was easy, go to the shop buy 20 fags and smoke them, simple. Some how vaping is different, for the last 2 months I have been hunting for the perfect vape but for me it also has to be hassle free, just pick it up and vape, no worries no fear of leakage and most of all good flavour.
I am at a point now where I have 2 good flavours I like and if they were the only juices available I would be happy.
So why I am writing this, I have easily spent the same amount of money on vaping items as I would if I had purchased the dirty stinkies for the last couple of months. I have been sucked into a world of speculation and reviews about what is the best vape and how it works best. Now for me there are a couple of things that matter, the device has to look good, do its job well and be fairly hassle free (including the rebuild). I love to play about recoiling etc but when something gets you that annoyed for at least 8hrs of your day its not worth it.
So I have decided that for that reason the only things that will be sitting on my MOD's is a Kayfun (any model) or a dripper, nothing else works for me (I have not tried any of the £100+ atties nor do I feel the need to, 3.1 excluded) SS I failed miserably with and clearo's/carto's just dont have the same flavour as a £10 dripper and lets be honest its not hard to drip some juice.
So hopefully by the end of next week my collection will have 3 Kayfuns and 3 Drippers, I hope from that point I will not get tied up in the speculation that always seems to end up in frustration and will be sitting on my sofa enjoying my vape as I do now with a KFL.

ginge7289... You only need what works. I have also been tempted by various mods etc, but then I consider I need batteries, a new charger etc. etc. I think why am I doing this... to give up smoking and save some money. To those that treat it as a new hobby, then all power to them, and I'm sure they enjoy it which is great. As an aside, I've written a little program that when Perpetua comes online, my PC goes to a new screen that says "Do you really want to read this? It's going to cost you money!"

I feel that way at the moment Raffles, it seems more of a hobby than it is a means to an end and as much as this forum has been a huge help I find myself checking the for sale thread or what the latest gadget is all the time. I love the fact that vaping is more of a community and I really think that is unique and I hope that never fails, but I have decided im am not going to keep buying stuff just to see if it is as good as others say (So far less the kayfun has not been the case) as most of the items I am buying are costing a fair amount of money

ginge7289... STOP! The vaping community is great, and especially this forum... it really is addictive, but please don't go spending money on the latest gizmo, there will be something else new next week. Enjoy the community feel, but please don't go chasing the latest 'must have'.

ginge7289 You are only human like the rest of us and it is a weakness common to us all that, no matter how content we are with what we have, we are tempted by whatever the other guy has. Glad to hear that you have reached your own personal vaping nirvana before bankrupting yourself! lol

. . . I'll have you know I've had one month out of 3 years 5 months 24 days when I was £4.00 up on my spending Mr Raffles. Quite proud of that I am.

I think I got lucky with all of my purchases. Okay, I did my homework, granted, but there is still an element of luck involved. The only area that has been difficult is E-Liquid. Finding something that suits you can be a real pain in the bum. These days if I do find something I like I tend to stick with it. "Better the devil you know ..." as they say. Jag. I think I have also got to the stage where I am happy with everything I have.
MVP2, Vamo, plenty of 135600 batteries, 3 chargers, spare Ego battery, Riva batteries, Evods, plenty of spare heads, Protank, 3 iclear 30's, Vivi nova's fake and real, Igo-l, litres of juice, flavourings and a couple of litres of nic base.
All I need to spend money on now is to replenish pg/vg and flavourings for the 4-5 flavours I mix which I am really happy with.
It's a great feeling.
