Hello fello vapers, after enjoying the original Protank for a good few months, I thought I would treat myself to a couple of the new Mk 2. I have had nothing but problems. Leaks, gurgles, and I dont like the tighter draw. I find even after a few draws the damn things just don't behave. I have tried every thing to sort these problems, but with no luck. So they have been cleaned, and put back in there boxes, and are in my"vapeing drawer"to stay, and my original Protanks are back in use, giving me a trouble free Vape. I would be interested to know if anyone else has had problems

Hi carl I have no specific advice to offer as I have never had a Kanger clearo (only use iClear 16s and 30s which never leak lol) but this is a little article that I wrote a while back which may be of help: I have read a lot of posts recently that slate different clearomisers for gurgling and/or leaking. I would like to throw in my tuppence worth by explaining how I avoid this problem which can affect all clearomisers irrespective of manufacturer. Most of you will know all this but it might help the newbies and prevent some from giving up vaping at an early stage and returning to the stinkies. 1: When you get a new rebuildable clearomiser don't assume that it is properly assembled - strip it down, check all 'o' rings are in good nick and properly seated, give everything a good wash and soak in steradent or similar to remove all traces of the manufacturing process, dry off all parts and then reassemble ensuring everything is securely (but not overly) tightened. This also applies when cleaning/dry burning or changing the atomiser head. 2: Be particularly careful with CE4 type drip tips (the screw in type) don't tighten these too tightly as they can unscrew the atty from the base when you unscrew them for refilling. 3: When refilling, avoid getting juice in the air hole by using a needle cap bottle or a syringe and don't fill above 3/4 of the maximum level. 4: Avoid setting your device down lying flat - stand up or at least lay down at an angle. Lanyards are available cheaply for ego style batteries that are difficult to balance standing up. I hope this advice is not viewed a being patronising. These are just things that I learnt the hard way.

I found that the centre post in my protank 2 appears to be slightly canted, so when the tank is screwed on, it doesn't seal properly and just leaks. Chucked it back in the drawer, back to original protanks, with which I have had zero problems - I hope they keep selling them! To be honest I don't really see the point in being able to take them apart, it just gives more chance of this sort of issue, and since you can't buy individual parts, there's no way of replacing broken bits without buying a whole new device. I think one of the arguments for it was to make cleaning easier, but it's not exactly hard with the original protank... Overall, thumbs down.

If you tank does not seal correctly because the centre pin is bent I would contact the vender

Strange ..... I found the Protank original to be better than the MkII. It seems a lot of people have the same opinion. I only had them on loan but after discovering the Kanger T3S I decided against purchasing either of them. I guess it is what works for the individual that counts, not the reviews. Jag. (American Red? Let me try it .....)

I have a Pro Tank 2 and whilst it doesn't leak or gurgle it just has an odd taste to it - done everything, cleaned it all in IPA, bicarb, changed heads and it still has a weird taste - the draw is not that great either. Luckily I had Mini PTs and I've treated myslef to two more as I love these little things. I didn't even bother rinsing them when I got them - out of the box, juice in and top flavour straight away.
