ditched sky basic was costing us £52 with phone and broadband, went got BT fibre 80/40mb £36 pm ,then sky rang us up lucky kept old number 6months later got basic back for £11 pm,saved a whole fiver but net speed lot better now had a whole 4mb on dsl, plus got BT to install fibre for free sky want £50 to install ,tenner less and half the speed i have now
Sky is ok but they just repeat repeat worse than bbc, there answer is, they do it so people with different work patterns can see shows, and not miss them

Sky have just given us movies & sports for 11 quid a month for 3 months , just need to remember to cancel (31 days notice ) before it goes to full price .......always worth phoning them up to see if they'll offer you anything , my neighbour did after I mentioned the deal I got & they offered it to him aswell

Sky + all the other rip off merchants = 100+ channels of repeats of channels, get yourself a good download site like mine ( not saying what ) and save yourself loads of money For all other main stuff a good recordable freeview box, sorted

I have the basic entertainment package, or the one up from the basic, anyway I only ever pay half price sky, when it comes to the end of the half price period, I ring up and either ask for another cheap deal (doesn't often work), or just go straight to disconections and try to leave. If at that point they offer me half price for 6 or 12 months, I'll stay, otherwise I'll leave (with a months notice).
What happens then. is either they ring you before the months end and offer you a deal, or you have to wait until after you are cut off and rely on freesat for a week or 3, then they ring you up and offer you a good deal to return to the fold.

Their retention dept will do well to make us this offer. Our home phone is stuck on mute, the only people that ring us on that are marketers or scammers. I've made the break from Sky and will stand strong, 6 days till disconnect!

I had sky - bad move. Only thing decent on it is 19 kids and counting... Then I got more ratties . Ditched the TV (well it's in the wardrobe)...DAB radio died so ditched that as well. Got a cheap second hand micro hifi off gumtree and a few aerials. Cheaper than buying a new radio. Now have DAB (well itunes) radio on laptop and iplayer and less ratties (ratties went to rainbow bridge remember) but couldn't be happier. No TV license to boot Be frugal. It's not about entertainment. It's about routine for me and I'm happy....sat here, vaping crocheting and reading

I have Sky, but only for a few channels you just can't get elsewhere. And only for a few shows on them channels. I should really just pirate bay them, and ditch sky. But I do like watching F1...

I have Sky's full package. But .... somehow, in the modern age, it is starting to look like an expensive Dinosaur. I think it is on borrowed time. Jag. (Just give me the Moto GP for Christ's sake!)

Yeah but do you really need to watch live shows on Iplayer? I don't
