My Ithaka clone finally arrived from China today. I have built my first ever coils ... Thought it seemed pretty straight forward. It kicks out loads of vapour but I can't get it to work on my Vamo ... Works fine on top of my twist although it looks pretty ridiculous.
its reading 1.1 ohms... Is this too low for the Vamo to deal with ?
Any suggestions ??

yeah it's too low for the vamo and it cuts out, 1.1 is probably too low for any VV/VW mod.

Mine arrived yesterday! Time to take it easy and don't try to run etc etc, I took out the dual coil and binned it, then put in a single coil with 4 legs, it vapes like a beauty. Plus the single coil will never be too low ohm for the Vamo so you can take your time to get used to it. Don't wind the airflow down too tightly, if you do then when you open it you might end up winding the whole atty base back up and it'll piss juice, just take it slowly, you might drop a tank of juice or two getting used to it, but stick with it. it really is a good vape once you make it tick right . Chugging it right now, it's brill!

Ok ... Gonna sound thick here ... A single coil with 4 legs ?.... Is that 2 lengths of wire wrapped together around a single wick ?.... Giving you 4 legs ...

Lowest a Vamo will run is 1.3 or 1.4 ohms

Its the same as the hercules I think, Super-Shiny has one and is happy with it so it may be worth seeing how he has it set up.

You probably need an extra wrap on each coil, I had same problem with my Phoenix atty - wont fire on the Vamo.if its less than 1.2/1.3 ohm. Robby advised me, works like a charm. OR - Another solution is to buy a mech mod, I bought a cheap K100 from FT, a mech mod will fire anything. Where did you get the Ithaka from ,FT or Vapourbreak??? I'm in two minds, either to get the Magoo from the UK, or Ithaka from VB, as the Ithaka has stocking problems at FT.

If you've got a multimeter measure two lengths of wire that read 2.6 ohm each, make your two coils with those using the whole lengths.

Thanks guys ...
Mike... I got mine from FT ... Accepting I haven't got a genuine one to compare it with I have to say the build quality is excellent ... But it took almost 6 weeks to arrive due to stocking issues . I don't know if these have been resolved completely ..
I'm gonna need to get some new wire ... Mine are premade so I have no control over lengths etc
