Good morning AAEC! Happy Friday Eve! Newbie Question #567738 Day 5 of vaping and adoring it, not had an urge for a stinkie and I think I can now genuinely say I have lost all interest in them, huzzah! On to the question: I ordered some Evods after hunting around and getting some from eBay. The seller had a good, high numbered amount of feedback so felt ok about buying from there, especially as this was a trial of them as they had been recommended to me more than once. So far they seem 'ok', the actual vaping is great but I've had numerous trouble getting them off my twist battery (had to get pliers out yesterday!) and I've noticed there is no branding at all on the base, but I don't know if there should be? I'd quite like to get a collection of them as I'm still so new and on the hunt for 'the juice' and well, they come in such pretty colours So, how can I establish whether they are genuine Kanger Evods or not?

Sassyif you got them off Ebay, chances are they are not genuine.. however genuine evods usually have Kangertech etched onto the collar. But fear not, the evod has to be one of the most cloned attys ever, because they are so popular. I have had genuine and clone evods without any problems at all, you will hear some sad tales about leaking / gurgling 99.9% of the time it's down to user error.( normally condensation issues. dead easy to clear.) Just enjoy, after all it's about the experiance of vaping, not what your using. If it works for you who cares about genuine or not. the only time you have to be carefull is with batteries.some good clones, but some right ripoffs out there. The old adage "if it seems too good to be true..."most deffo applys. For your juice, as a newby I would suggest you try the 10ml testers from here£1.49 a pop, when you find some you like, 30mls are available with a BOGOF offer and discount as well Enjoy

Good luck with that. You used to be able to tell by the positioning of the air holes on the base, they are uneven in most of the clones. The problem is that both the original AND the clones appear to be produced in the same factories. Such is the way in China ....... Jag. (When is an Evod NOT an Evod?)

Good morning to you as well Sassy I'm so pleased to hear you are loving vaping & have done so well As Super-Shiny says, it really is difficult to tell the Evod clones from the genuine ones as even some of the genuine ones aren't branded. I would also avoid buying anything e-cig related from eBay. Ebay actually banned the sale of e-cigs over 4 years ago. However, I have heard recently that they are now thinking about changing their policy. But in the meantime, the listings could get pulled & the sellers banned at any time.
