Kanger Mini Protank 2 (Version 1) Wick/Heating Wire Question

Hello i was just wondering if anyone out there knew what wick size & heating wire size i would need for the Kanger Mini Protank 2 (Version 1) & A good place to buy it?

Ok you would need 0.20 kanthal and probably 2mm wick but depends what you want in it. Silica or ekowool?

i hear good things browsing the web about the ekowool, also some great results using cotton balls!

Lots of peeps on here have, i have not as yet as waiting for my wire to do micro coils. Hopefully somebody will be along to help with the cotton.

one final question rosco

i watched a youtube vid and he coiled tightly together then blasted it with a heat gun flame thingy lol

but i see several pics where the coil is not so tight together, which is right? and how many times to wrap as i have again read conflicting evidence

Right the one with super tight coils is called a micro coil which is the latest thing going on at the moment. Not done one myself yet as not had the right wire but they look sweet. This is what you would use the cotton for but you an use cotton on other coils.
The coil not so tight is the standard way of coiling, a lot easier and is where most people start when they begin re coiling. Both ways are the right way. There are a lot of vids out there on the basic coiling method and it is easier than you think. As for wraps it depends on the thickness of your wick. Basically the longer the wire the higher the resistance.
