So today my postie delivered a couple of mini Protanks I've been waiting for. I've used the full-sized Protank so I knew what I was doing  I assembled it as in the photo and filled it with juice.  It looked too long. And it leaked straight out through those air holes!  I was mentally composing a strong letter of complaint, ranting about the poor design and faulty manufacture.  Then the penny dropped. There are two separate bases, a 510 and an ego fitting. No wonder the bugga leaked!  So, if you're a newbie and sometimes feel you're being a bit foolish with daft questions, take heart - even an old timer like me can make a fundamentally stupid mistake!  |

OneDay Sorry to laugh at your misfortune but it was quite amusing. I didn't know you could get regular 510 bases for these things. Where did you buy it (if you don't mind me asking)?

Sorry, I did laugh, OneDay. Thank you for posting that even experienced vapers can make a gaff & get covered in eliquid, We all do it, but don't always say.

Noooo. Not me, it was my twin who was showing off his coiling skills to a friend. Gave detailed advice on the matter of recoiling/rewicking and stressed the importance of Dry Burning to clean up the coil after a rebuild.... OOPS, forgot had used Cotton as an experiment. Resulting cloud of smoke hid blushes from admiring company!!  |

Oops i must admit though that as the Davide mini that i use are same type of thing at the base, i regularly take off the base & stand it on the worktop while i'm filling the Davide & then absent mindedly put the Davide straight back on the battery minus the base & coil & wonder why i have juice everywhere |

Well I had no idea the mini Protanks could be fitted on a 510 connection  Where could I get some delivered by Tuesday do you think? Off on holiday Wednesday morning and it'd be good to take our vmax's with us. |

OneDay - I will now proceed to make you feel a helluva lot better. On Monday I received my 2 Mini Protanks from Focalecig, and proceeded to fill with some very nice Lemon and Lime. Imagine my disgust when my hands were suddenly full of aforementioned juice - I did exactly the same as you!! Having never even seen a MPT in the flesh, I was presuming that the way it came assembled in the box was 'ready to use'. Oh, how wrong I was!! So that's two of us so-called 'experienced' vapers making the same mistake. Hoo-hum!!

Haha ! I did a similar stoopid thing when I had my 1st protank2 ... Pulled it out of the box and assuming there were 3 heads like you used to get with novas etc, I filled the bad boy, tipped it the right way and my lap was duly coated in a delicious puddle of toffee mint juice. There are only 2 heads and NONE of them are preinstalled in the tank |
