And they say - "To charge the battery or use as a pass through, simply unscrew the bottom cover and attach the supplied USB cable. Do not attempt to charge the battery with a standard Ego USB charger, via the atomiser end"

My gut feeling is that UKecig store have sent you the wrong charger.

It might even be conceivable that the battery would then also charge with the correct mini/micro USB cable. I spend my life trying to find the various size cables for usb devices. There seems to be 5 or 6 sizes. I managed to charge a handheld GPS unit the other day with a portable hard drive data/power cable.

A phone call and a resolution would really help restore some faith here...

I would stop trying to find the right charger! the charger supplied should fit and work, as it doesn't then this kit is not fit for purpose.

Now I know that lots of us have various ego/riva batteries and use the same charger for all of them BUT you should only ever use the correct charger for your batteries and if nobody can work out what these batteries are I wouldn't want to recommend trying various different chargers

I really think a refund is the way to go and invest the money on a decent kit from a vendor that knows how to do customer service! this is a good buy at the moment

Andy, the one you linked to is actually a passthrough battery that you screw a carto/clearo into. It's not a stand lone charger.

Just bounce it back on the Vendor, if your still after a kit, Karma has given a decent link...go looksee at the whole site.

Hi guys, Fagsareus, that is some fantastic tracking down, and that should be the answer, but having compared the screw threads, they are different to the atty, and so one or another would get de-threaded in trying to attach it, plus the fitment is just not long enough to reach all the way down to the electrical contact (if it even is, I don't have multimeter which would prove it).

Any way, following Karma's advice, I've had a reply to my paypal dispute - first contact with ukecigstore and they have agreed to refund in full if I return the kit. Although they have also refused my refund, which means there may yet be trouble if they deem that the batteries are working properly. We'll have to wait and see I guess. So I'll package everything up and send it back in the morning and we'll see. Again, I'll let you know.

You've all been great help, and hopefully I'll be on soon asking what to buy instead. Karma, I have an alternate basic EGO kit now very similar to the one you pointed out so on the right lines, but I'll be looking for something a bit more powerful and special. We'll have that conversation another time - feet up, glass of wine... vapes... ah.

BTW the charger is the USB standard one with a short cable then the little power adapter with the male EGO screw fitting, just the one you get with most of these kits, same as the other one I got.

lol i know that but was comparing the end,spent 2 hours trying to find nix's batteries alibama site has bucket loads,luckily fasttech only had 9 pages

Thankyou Andy for all your help today, but I think we were chasing rainbows with this "peculiar ended" [Jaguar] EGO model, still its more fun with company . Can hardly wait to have the discussion on where to go next, but I was a rolly smoker so I'm gonna need power, and style of course. We can do that then I've recovered from my first foray. Its a bit of a science (bit... laughs).
