Ah well supose it's back to paying UK prices again UK prices are one heck of a lot cheaper than Tenerife prices - don't know about on the Spanish mainland.

I thought it was ok to ship ego/riva batteries as the battery is in a device and that it was just mod batteries that were affected?

On the FT website, it's mentioned that batteries can be shipped in torches.
If batteries are OK in devices, they should get cheap 2,4, 6 and 8 bay usb battery packs made for a dollar or two and send them inside those.
They already sell 18650 USB packs but by getting some cheap ones made, it could be a possible way of circumventing the rules.

KarmaI've heard about FT wrapping batteries in metal foil to get past Customs, I wonder if that will become the norm?

It is still waiting at the airport in China when I last checked the tracking - no doubt a big back log for China post after the holiday. From past experience they can sit there for weeks before they get on a plane I'll let you know if and when it arrives!

Well HK Post have returned my battery order to Fasttech. Not a surprise really.
Apparently they will ship via Swiss Post but not sure whether it's really worth taking the risk again.

My HC order was returned to them as China post wouldn't accept even a Spinner. HC have now refunded the money. Not sure how long this will last - in the past this sort of clamp down has only been temporary. Given the number of devices China ships with Li-on batteries in them it is hard to believe it is going to be permanent!
