'Vapours Tongue?' ...I have 'Plastic Mouth!!'

I've basically spent as much time 'vaping'  - as I have reading everything I can on this helpful & informative forum.  I've read lots of comments about vapours tongue but not quite sussed what it is. I cant taste anything except menthol juices <<so far>> That's 5 days experience max.

Quick lowdown: had sky cigs for a YEAR, only used when trapped in a hotel room overnight/long concert/ endless train journey, they have stopped me jumping out of the window in nicotine desperation, of which I've been grateful for. But 'give up smoking?' hell no! that wasn't going to happen....

until 1 of the soccer mums had this weird cigar looking thing in her mouth the other week at a match and offered me a toke....throat hit!  wow! then I realised there could be a light at end of tunnel? I ordered what she had, its a ego - brand name de-bang ( yes I also think that's an embarrassing name) I haven't had a smoke  in 5 days --- which is a miracle, I'm the sort that gets irate after an hour if deprived of an analogue 

I've messed up 1st order of joosejuice but not understanding pg/vg but it's OK as I've ordered more to balance. Anyway I digress, my starter kit came with liquid, its tasteless and slightly rank but the nicotine and throat hit was fine, so it did until others steeped. I read that menthol is fine from the off, so to speak, so I loaded tank with 18mg nicotine 100% PG and OMG wow, blew my skull off, but I cant handle it all day, I hate menthol 

So why does my mouth feel like a ditch diggers left flip-flop?? I can accept that i'll get a dry mouth -- I'm drinking like a guppy fish to balance but I cant taste a thing - as in various e-liquids ( even though I've tried the vapour style of 'suck thru straw out side of mouth' <<which helps LOTS>> all I can taste is a vague undercurrent of specific flavour with a nasty plasticy tang? as my clearomisers are plastic I'm worrying that its them. Should I sterilise them? or is it just me being weird....ah more weird I mean?!

I'm OK in the day but by evening I'm feeling queasy... my stomach feels a little bit bilious? So, I wondered: is this 'vapours tongue?'

The queasiness of an evening could be nicotine overdose. A lot of new vapers tend to chain vape to start with and get headaches and queasiness as a result. The vapers tongue you speak of can also be a result of too much vaping. All of these symptoms would also result if you were to chain smoke stinkies. The chain vaping usually recedes within a few weeks as your body becomes used to vaping. If you find that you can't avoid chain vaping try cutting back on the nicotine level of your juice.

Clearos can taste a bit funny for the first tank, it soon sorts itself out though.

I'm not surprised you are thirsty if vaping 100% PG if you up the VG content that should help!

It does take a bit time at first to get the right kit and juice combo, trial and error really.

your stomach problem could be too much vaping, too high nicotine or pg but it could also be a reaction to stopping smoking. You get all sorts of weird and wonderful withdrawal symptoms as although you are replacing the nicotine your body is still getting used to not having all the other chemicals in burning tobacco.

yes, that would make sense, thanks. I'm definitely over vaping...every time I think about a cigarette - I reach for it (so thatle be every other minute...) I mean I can live with the vile mouth, especially if its temporary? On a good note, feeling slightly queasy isn't so bad, I overeat anyway!

I did an emergency dash to Home & Bargain for normal balance pg/vg it'll probably taste dreadful but least i'll cope better! the fun part will be another attempt at washing out clearomiser and re-assembling it - was fraught 1st try

where's the 'pray for me smiley' If i'm not back in an hour you might have to send out a 'search & rescue' party...

You don't have to clean out the clearo Pepperty you could just vape through the change

I haven't had much experience but never got on with the plastic clearos I could always taste the plastic and like you felt sick by the evening. I now use protank minis with no problem at all. I think with your juice you can add some vg (you can get it from the bakery aisles in most supermarkets and from boots the chemist). It will lower the nic content but you probably wouldn't notice maybe add 1ml to a ten ml bottle. If I'm wrong I sure someone with more knowledge than me will soon sort it out . This is a great place to get help

ohh, cant take another moment of the 'nowhere near steeped' peach I attempted before ( at 100% pg) its stripping the lining from my lungs I swear! It's amazing how nifty you can become with nowt but a bent paperclip....its a new-found skill   H&B Blueberry loaded, tastes like stale perfume  but least its giving some vapour ( to brainwash me into believing) 

At every puff the menthol 100% pg is appealing more and more *goes off weeping*

Alas, I tried getting some VG, the chemist looked at me with confusion & distrust ...I wondered if I'd inadvertently requested a mixer that goes with cocaine or something?!?!
I've scoured every baking aisle in every supermarket within 5 miles.....

I'm half a day from desperate expensive ordering of glass clearomisers? I don't suppose there are any out there for cack handed souls like myself? (they make phone cases, are there no bouce proof glass clearomiser cases?)

Considering I'm a smoker I have a very keen sense of taste/smell. I'm starting to gag just putting plastic tip to lips.

Got my vg in Sainsburys dr Oetker glycerine in home baking aisle with the cake decorating stuff they sell it in tescos too I think. You could try a metal drip tip I think cos I got plastic protank mini from fasttech and I have no problem with that. It might work out cheaper. The protank mini is glass lol not sure it's good for cack handedness lol. I have dropped mine though and it survived

Hi Pepperty, just ask for glycerine, don't confuse the issue with letters. I couldn't find any on the shelf in Boots because I hadn't the foggiest idea where to look but, as fiddles says, it's there with the cough medicines. No weird looks or anything.

Joosejuice menthol is strong. You could weaken it by adding the vg liquid (known as care liquid in chemists) but i like halving with joose juice softmint and sometimes a touch of cherry.

The vg is for sore throats and will help with the dry throat you are getting too but you might need to thin it down with 10% of a decent vodka as it is very thick

tempting me with vodka isn't difficult- I diluted myself tonight with vodka, 4+ vodka and cokes as Saturday night treat
don't think that's how I'm supposed to do it!

I look forward to main supermarket and/ or boots the chemist tomorrow for glycerine- does that help with making juice sweeter? I'm liking joosejuice menthol depth of taste but it's really bitter at 100% pg!
